If your AWS account is billed by AWS India, you can pay its bill using supported credit or debit cards, net banking, or UPI. Before choosing a method, check the account’s AWS seller of record: these India-specific options do not necessarily apply to accounts billed by another AWS entity.
First check whether AWS India bills your account
AWS says accounts opened with contact and billing addresses in India are contracted with Amazon Web Services India Private Limited, which manages billing and lists invoice totals in INR. AWS also requires identity information for India-based contact or billing addresses to be collected and validated before AWS services are available. Check your account’s billing details and seller of record before relying on the methods below.

How to pay an AWS India bill
AWS lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and RuPay credit or debit cards, net banking, and UPI for AWS India bill payments. The available methods can depend on the billing account, so follow the payment options shown in your AWS billing console.

- Open the AWS Billing and Cost Management console. Review the current invoice and the payment methods available to your account.
- Select a supported method. Choose a listed card, net banking, or UPI option and complete the payment flow presented by AWS.
- For recurring payments, check the mandate terms. AWS documents eligible card e-mandates and UPI AutoPay; make sure the option is available and authorized for your account.

Can you pay an AWS bill using UPI?
Yes. AWS documents UPI as a payment method for AWS India bills and separately documents UPI AutoPay for future invoices. Availability and setup should be confirmed in your own AWS billing console; do not assume the same UPI options apply if another AWS seller bills the account.

Card auto-payment limit and larger bills
AWS documents a limit of INR 15,000 per bill for automatic payments using eligible credit or debit card e-mandates. If a bill exceeds that ceiling, AWS says it requires manual payment. This limit concerns card e-mandate automatic payment, not a general cap on all AWS bills or all payment methods. AWS also documents UPI AutoPay for future invoices, with account-specific availability to verify in the console.
What does “AWS for a YouTube live stream” mean?
The payment method does not identify which AWS service your stream uses. Amazon Interactive Video Service (Amazon IVS) is one AWS live-video service, but its documentation describes sending a video stream into IVS. It does not establish that IVS automatically relays that stream to YouTube Live. Confirm the actual service and delivery workflow before following technical instructions or estimating costs.

AWS documents compatible encoder setups, including OBS, that send video to an IVS channel using that channel’s stream key. That describes an IVS ingest workflow, not a confirmed IVS-to-YouTube workflow. See Amazon IVS getting-started documentation.
If your setup uses Amazon IVS, estimate its costs separately
IVS charges have separate live-video input and delivered-video output components. Input charges depend on channel type. Output rates depend on resolution, the region where viewers receive the video, and monthly usage tier. AWS determines the output billing region by delivery location, not simply by where you configured the channel or ingested the stream.

Before budgeting, identify the IVS channel type, expected input hours, resolution, viewer-hours, delivery locations, applicable usage tiers, and any Free Tier eligibility. AWS’s pricing page includes India delivery rates; check its current rates and terms rather than relying on an old estimate.
