Indian agencies can batch-capture client websites with ScreenshotAPI by preparing a clean URL list, then submitting it as CSV for a spreadsheet-led workflow or as JSON for an automated pipeline. The documented JSON bulk endpoint accepts up to 50 URLs per request; CSV bulk capture is described as a paid-tier feature. Check the current plan terms for limits that apply to your account before scheduling client work.

Choose CSV or JSON for your agency workflow

Method Best fit Documented constraint or access
CSV Teams preparing URL lists in a spreadsheet or managing batches through the dashboard ScreenshotAPI’s help page describes bulk CSV capture as available on a paid tier. Applicable plan quotas should be confirmed with the vendor. ScreenshotAPI bulk documentation and ScreenshotAPI help
JSON Scripts, scheduled jobs, or integration with an agency reporting pipeline The documented maximum is 50 URLs per JSON bulk request. ScreenshotAPI advertises no list-size limit for enterprise plans, but confirm the actual terms for your plan. ScreenshotAPI bulk documentation

ScreenshotAPI identifies SEO audits, before-and-after comparisons, and client reporting as agency use cases. Those are vendor-described applications, not independently measured outcomes. For current prices and quotas, consult the vendor’s live plan information before committing a recurring workflow.

Prepare a reliable client URL list

Start with one row per page you intend to capture. Use fully qualified addresses that begin with https://, and remove blank, malformed, duplicate, or out-of-scope entries. For a CSV upload, include the required url column. Incomplete or invalid URLs can fail during processing. ScreenshotAPI’s bulk documentation includes a sample result structure with URL, status, screenshot, and error-message fields.

  • Agree with the account team on which page types belong in the report: home pages, product pages, campaign landing pages, or a defined selection.
  • Use canonical URLs where appropriate, and check that redirects do not send the capture to a login, consent, or error page.
  • Keep client identifiers in a separate tracking sheet or job metadata if the submission format does not provide a suitable field.
  • Do not submit private or authenticated pages without confirming that the account’s headers and access method are configured correctly.

Set consistent capture options

ScreenshotAPI’s bulk CSV documentation lists output file type, viewport width and height, injected CSS, delay, and custom headers as optional inputs. The vendor says options available for single screenshots apply to bulk processing. Its getting-started material also describes full-page screenshots, geolocation, CSS and JavaScript customization, and fresh=true for requesting a current capture when a prior screenshot has been returned. See the bulk documentation and getting-started documentation for the current parameter details.

  • Output format: choose one format that fits the client report and downstream storage.
  • Viewport: keep width and height fixed for like-for-like comparisons; a mobile viewport and a desktop viewport are different evidence, not interchangeable shots.
  • Full-page behavior: enable it when the report needs content below the initial viewport, and check whether long pages render as expected.
  • Delay and rendering: use a suitable delay for pages that load important content after navigation. A delay may add processing time across a large batch.
  • CSS, JavaScript, and headers: use these only when a documented reporting need requires them, and validate the result on representative pages first.
  • Freshness: if a cached result would be unsuitable, follow the vendor’s fresh=true guidance. ScreenshotAPI’s documentation says: “If you request a screenshot that has been returned before, and you want to return a current screenshot, please include the fresh=true parameter to shed off the cache.”

For a recurring report, save the agreed settings and apply them uniformly to comparable client URLs. Change a viewport or page state only when the report explicitly intends to compare those different conditions.

Submit, monitor, and review a bulk job

  1. Choose the route: submit JSON from your automation for programmatic work, or use the dashboard/API CSV route for a file-oriented batch.
  2. Submit a manageable batch: split JSON submissions into groups of no more than 50 URLs, the documented limit per JSON request. For CSV and enterprise list-size limits, verify the applicable account terms.
  3. Track progress: use the dashboard or status API to monitor completion percentage and successful and failed URL counts, as described in ScreenshotAPI’s bulk documentation.
  4. Retrieve results: download the processed CSV through the dashboard or API. ScreenshotAPI also documents an email with a direct download link when all screenshots are ready.
  5. Review before delivery: inspect status, screenshot links, and error messages; spot-check that pages show the intended client, viewport, and state before including them in a report.

Large batches can take longer depending on URL count and configuration. The reviewed product materials do not establish a guaranteed processing time, so avoid promising a delivery deadline based only on batch size.

Troubleshoot failed or unexpected captures

Symptom What to check Next step
Some URLs fail Look at the result row’s status and error message; check for missing scheme, typo, redirect, or inaccessible page. Correct the address or access configuration, then resubmit only the affected URLs.
Capture is stale Determine whether the request returned a previously captured result. Use the documented fresh=true parameter when a current capture is required.
Important content is absent Check whether the content loads after navigation or below the initial viewport. Review delay and full-page settings, then validate on a small representative batch before rerunning broadly.
Client pages look inconsistent Compare viewport, format, CSS, headers, geolocation, and other per-capture settings. Standardize options for comparable pages and record intentional exceptions.
CSV or a large list is unavailable Confirm whether CSV bulk is included in the account tier and whether a plan-specific quota applies. Check current plan terms or ask ScreenshotAPI support about the relevant limit; do not assume the enterprise list-size claim applies to other plans.

Account for India-specific procurement separately

The documented workflow is usable by agencies in India, but the cited product materials do not establish India-specific billing, tax invoicing, data residency, or agency partner-program terms. If any of these affect procurement, confirm them directly with ScreenshotAPI before using client data or agreeing to a reporting service level.

If you would rather make one request than assemble and maintain a browser-capture workflow, ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server for developers. A GET request can return an image or PDF; the example below captures a URL as WebP. See the ScreenshotNeo documentation for request options.

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp

ScreenshotNeo accepts cookie and consent banners before capture and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; each cleanup step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and responses identify the page verdict and billing status in headers. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf tools for AI agents. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots.
