Short answer: Hostinger AI Builder’s agentic mode turns natural-language instructions into hosted websites and browser-based web applications. It can generate the interface, code, file structure and backend for projects such as dashboards, trackers, quizzes, shops and simple games. It cannot create native iOS or Android binaries, import an existing GitHub repository or provide several traditional server controls. Authentication, subscriptions, payments, advertising and affiliate features are possible, but Hostinger says they can be difficult to prompt reliably.
What Hostinger AI Builder agentic mode actually is
Hostinger describes the product as an AI-powered development environment rather than a conventional visual site editor. Its official wording is: “Hostinger AI Builder agentic mode lets anyone create custom web apps or web software in minutes, with no coding required.” You describe a result in chat or by voice, and the agent generates the project’s code, file structure, design and backend behavior.
The output is a hosted web project. A visitor opens it in a browser on a desktop, tablet or phone; the phone can also be used to edit or view the live result. That does not make the project a native mobile application. The distinction matters if your release plan includes an App Store or Google Play listing, device-level APIs, or a downloadable iOS or Android package.
Agentic mode automatically chooses a technology stack. Hostinger says projects typically use Node.js for the backend and React with Vite for the front end, although you can request other technologies. Hostinger warns that changing the default stack may create compatibility problems, so a stack change should be a deliberate technical decision rather than an early experiment.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The practical model is conversational: state the users, data, screens, rules and integrations you need; review the generated result; then ask for focused changes. It is closer to an AI-assisted web development workspace than to a static template generator.
Projects it can build
Hostinger’s examples show the intended range: custom logic in a browser, stored data, calculations, user flows and a designed interface. The following projects are explicitly documented or listed in the current overview.
| Project type | What the app can do | Why agentic mode fits |
|---|---|---|
| Fitness planner | Collect age, height, weight and physical-condition information, then generate workout and diet plans. | It combines forms, rules or AI output and a personalized results screen. |
| Language-learning platform | Organize lessons as daily quests and add gamified progress. | It needs custom state, scoring and a repeatable user journey. |
| ADHD-oriented task manager | Show one task at a time instead of an overwhelming list. | The interface and sequencing are purpose-built rather than template-driven. |
| Budget tracker | Categorize expenses and show spending insights. | Forms, data handling and calculations can be combined in one web app. |
| Book recommender | Use reading history to produce recommendations. | A custom recommendation flow can be represented in browser screens and backend logic. |
| Image transformer | Apply styles such as astronaut portraits or cartoon effects. | Users submit an image and receive a transformed result. |
| Horoscope generator | Collect a user’s details and generate a personalized horoscope. | It is a straightforward input-to-generated-content workflow. |
| Professional and business sites | Present services, portfolios, company information or event details. | The same environment can produce conventional pages as well as app-like interactions. |
| Online shop | Provide a storefront experience. | Store projects can use Hostinger’s separate Ecommerce subscription. |
| Productivity and finance tools | Build habit trackers, to-do lists, time trackers, brainstorming boards, personal-finance dashboards and savings-goal monitors. | These rely on custom forms, status changes, calculations and visual summaries. |
| Games and quizzes | Create quizzes and simple 2D or 3D games such as Snake or Tetris. | Browser code can implement the game loop, controls and scoring. |
These examples describe web deliverables, not a guarantee that every complex product will be production-ready after one prompt. A project with sensitive data, complicated billing, strict compliance or high traffic still needs design decisions, testing and operational review.

Integrated AI: inputs, outputs and limits
Integrated AI is a native capability in the builder. For supported flows, you describe the AI behavior in a prompt and do not have to supply an external API key. Hostinger documents four input/output combinations:
- Text to text
- Text plus image to text
- Text to text plus image
- Text plus image to text plus image
Hostinger says text generation uses cost-efficient models and image generation uses Banana image-generation models. The documented reference-image formats are JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF and ICO. A session can contain up to 10 images, and each image can be up to 15 MB. Those limits apply to the documented image-input workflow; they are not a promise that every future feature will accept the same files or sizes.
Prompts can be entered in more than 80 languages, according to Hostinger’s 2026 overview. Multilingual prompting is useful for specifying labels and content, but you should still inspect the generated interface for translated terminology, date formats, number formats and right-to-left layout when those details matter.

A reliable way to build a project
Agentic mode works best when a large idea is divided into verifiable increments. Use this sequence rather than asking for an entire production system in one sentence.
Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallCrashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minute- Define the browser outcome. State whether you are making a public website, an authenticated dashboard, a tool for a small team or a consumer-facing app. Name the primary user and the single task they must complete.
- List the screens and data. Specify each page or view, the fields a user enters, the records that must be stored and the result shown after each action. Include empty, loading and error states.
- Describe the rules. Give exact calculations, validation rules, permissions and edge cases. For a budget tracker, for example, define categories, currency, date handling and how refunds are represented.
- Request the first vertical slice. Ask for one complete path, such as creating a record and seeing it in a list, before adding secondary features. This makes it easier to see whether the generated data model and navigation are sound.
- Review the generated code and behavior. Use the code editor and the running preview together. Check keyboard access, mobile layout, validation, state persistence and error messages, not just the visual appearance.
- Refine with narrow prompts. Ask for one change at a time: “Add a confirmation state after a successful save” is easier to verify than “make the app more professional.”
- Test the risky paths. Try invalid input, duplicate submissions, an empty database, a lost network connection, a refreshed page and a user who lacks permission. Payment and account flows need particular scrutiny.
- Publish only after dependency checks. Confirm that hosting is active, AI credits are available and any Ecommerce subscription required by the store is enabled.
What agentic mode cannot do
Several restrictions are explicit in Hostinger’s documentation. They are product boundaries, not merely prompts that need better wording.
| Requirement | Agentic-mode status | Practical consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Native iOS app | Not offered | The result is a web app that can be viewed on an iPhone, not an App Store binary. |
| Native Android app | Not offered | The result is not an APK or Google Play package. |
| Importing a GitHub repository or other third-party custom code | Not supported | You cannot bring an existing repository into the builder as the starting project. |
| File Manager, FTP or SSH | Unavailable in agentic mode | Do not plan on traditional file transfers or shell-level administration. |
| PHP, databases, Cron Jobs, Git or IP Manager as conventional hosting controls | Unavailable in agentic mode | Projects that depend on those server tools need another hosting or CMS workflow. |
Native mobile binaries are outside the product
Hostinger’s exact guidance is: “When it comes to using Hostinger AI Builder for mobile app development, at the moment, we do not offer mobile app development for iOS or Android.” A responsive web app can still be useful on a phone, and you can use a phone to edit or view the live result, but those facts do not provide native packaging, App Store submission or Google Play distribution.
There is no GitHub-based starting point
The guide says custom code cannot be imported from third-party platforms such as GitHub. This rules out a workflow in which a team brings an existing repository, asks the agent to understand it and then continues development inside the builder. If your project already has a tested codebase, select a platform that supports repository import or keep development in your existing toolchain.
Traditional server administration is not exposed
File Manager, FTP, PHP, SSH, databases, Cron Jobs, Git and IP Manager are among the advanced hosting features Hostinger lists as unavailable in agentic mode. The integrated backend can be appropriate for a self-contained web app, but it is not equivalent to having unrestricted server access. A requirement for scheduled server jobs, custom PHP, shell scripts, direct database administration or a specific deployment pipeline should be treated as a platform-selection issue.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Authentication, payments, subscriptions and advertising
These features are possible, but they are not one-click guarantees. Hostinger’s own warning is direct: “Currently, monetization and authentication are challenging to prompt.” The documentation says subscriptions, one-time payments, ads and affiliate links can be added, while also noting that some are harder to implement than others.

- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
That combination means you should treat account and revenue features as engineering work that requires iterative prompts and a full review. Start by defining the states and permissions, not by asking for “a login system.” Specify:
- Which pages are public and which require an account.
- What a signed-in user can create, read, edit or delete.
- How forgotten credentials, invalid credentials and signed-out sessions behave.
- Whether an administrator has a separate role and what that role can change.
- What happens when a subscription expires, a payment fails or a user requests cancellation.
- Which records must remain available for receipts, refunds or support.
For advertising and affiliate links, describe placement, disclosure text and the destinations the links should open. For payments, specify the product, currency, billing interval and success, failure and cancellation states. Then test the flow with non-production accounts before accepting real money. The builder’s ability to generate a screen does not by itself establish that a payment was captured, a webhook was handled or access was revoked correctly.
Hosting, AI credits and Ecommerce costs
Agentic mode is not a standalone local application. Hostinger’s comparison says publishing requires an active hosting plan and a separate credit-based AI Builder subscription. If you are building a store, Ecommerce is connected through a separate Hostinger Ecommerce subscription.
Budget for the complete arrangement rather than treating the builder as a single free product:
- Hosting: the active plan that serves the published website or app.
- AI Builder credits: the separate allowance used by the agentic development service.
- Ecommerce, when needed: an additional subscription for store functionality.
The available data does not establish a universal price, credit allowance or renewal amount, so verify the current plan terms for your region and date before purchase. A prototype that is inexpensive to generate can still have ongoing hosting and AI-credit requirements once it is published.
Manual-mode migration has a specific caveat
Switching a manual-mode site to agentic mode does not convert the original site in place. Hostinger creates a new agentic-mode website while preserving the original manual site.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
That migration workflow does not support sites using Ecommerce, the Instagram element or search. Check those dependencies before starting. If one is present, preserve the manual site and plan a separate rebuild or another migration path instead of assuming the agentic project will inherit every element.
Agentic mode, manual mode or WordPress?
The right choice depends on the project’s center of gravity: custom browser logic, visual page editing or an established plugin ecosystem.
| Decision axis | Agentic mode | Manual mode | WordPress |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best fit | Browser-based apps and custom logic generated from prompts. | Conventional websites edited with visual drag-and-drop controls. | Content sites and projects built around plugins and themes. |
| Editing model | AI chat or voice plus a code editor. | Visual manual editing. | WordPress dashboard, themes, plugins and code where supported. |
| Infrastructure access | Integrated backend; listed traditional controls are unavailable. | Manual-site hosting workflow. | Plugin- and hosting-dependent access to the tools your installation supports. |
| Extensibility | Supported integrations and generated code; no GitHub import. | Manual features and available integrations. | Broad plugin ecosystem, subject to compatibility and maintenance. |
| Publishing requirements | Hosting plus a separate AI Builder credit subscription; Ecommerce is separate for stores. | Hosting for the manual site. | Hosting and the chosen WordPress setup, plus any paid plugins or services. |
| Mobile output | Responsive web app only; no native iOS or Android binary. | Responsive website output. | Responsive site by default; native apps require a separate app stack or service. |
When WordPress is the safer choice
Hostinger Agent’s official workflow recommends WordPress when a request needs a plugin or tool that AI Builder does not support, using appointment or booking systems as an example. This is the clearest documented platform rule: if a required capability exists as a WordPress plugin but is not supported in the builder, choose WordPress rather than trying to force the agent to reproduce it.
When agentic mode is the better fit
Choose agentic mode when the deliverable is a browser experience with custom screens and logic, you are comfortable reviewing generated code, and you do not need GitHub import or server-level operations. It is especially suited to prototypes, internal tools, calculators, trackers, dashboards, quizzes and other projects where a tailored flow matters more than a large plugin catalog.
When neither option is appropriate
Use a dedicated mobile stack when you need a native binary, push notifications tied to operating-system services, background device processing or App Store and Google Play distribution. Use a conventional development and deployment pipeline when your team depends on an existing repository, custom databases, SSH, scheduled jobs or infrastructure controls listed as unavailable.

Prompting patterns that reduce rework
A precise prompt gives the agent a testable contract. Include these elements in the first request or in a short sequence of requests:
Best Value
- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
- Audience and objective: identify who uses the project and what successful completion means.
- Navigation: name every page, the entry point and the permitted transitions.
- Data model: list fields, types, required values, relationships and retention expectations.
- Interaction rules: describe validation, sorting, filtering, pagination and empty states.
- Visual direction: specify layout, contrast, typography hierarchy and responsive behavior.
- AI behavior: define the input format, desired output, fallback text and whether images are optional.
- Access control: distinguish public, signed-in and administrator actions.
- Acceptance checks: give concrete examples that should pass and fail.
For example, instead of “build a finance app,” ask for a browser budget tracker with an expense form containing date, amount, currency and category; a monthly summary; an empty state; validation for non-positive amounts; and a filter that never mixes currencies without an explicit conversion rule. Then request the form and summary first, test them, and add import or sharing only after the core path behaves correctly.
Common failure modes and recovery decisions
The app looks right but loses data
Ask where records are stored, what happens after a page refresh and how errors are surfaced. Test a create-edit-refresh cycle before adding polish. If the project needs direct database administration or a scheduled backup process, the unavailable traditional controls are a warning to reassess the platform.
A requested integration is repeatedly unreliable
Reduce the request to the smallest supported interaction and specify the expected success and failure states. If the feature depends on an unsupported plugin or tool, follow Hostinger’s documented WordPress recommendation instead of endlessly rephrasing the prompt.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesLogin or billing behaves inconsistently
Map every account and payment state, test with separate accounts and inspect what happens on cancellation, expiration and network failure. Because Hostinger identifies authentication and monetization as challenging to prompt, do not publish until those paths have been manually verified.
The team expects to deploy an existing codebase
Agentic mode cannot import custom code from GitHub. Keep the repository in its current development environment or select a service that supports repository-based deployment.
A mobile-app brief is rejected
Reframe the requirement as a responsive web app only if a browser deliverable meets the goal. If a native iOS or Android package is mandatory, move to a mobile development stack.
A practical go/no-go checklist
Proceed with agentic mode when all of the following are true:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
- The required output is a website or browser-based web app.
- Your team can work without GitHub import, SSH, FTP, PHP, Cron Jobs, Git, IP Manager or direct database controls.
- You can pay for active hosting and the separate AI Builder credit subscription.
- You can test generated code, permissions, data handling and any revenue flow.
- No essential plugin or unsupported tool is part of the specification.
Choose another platform when any of these conditions is non-negotiable:
Quick Recap
- A native iOS or Android binary must ship.
- An existing GitHub repository must be imported.
- Server-level operations or a conventional deployment pipeline are required.
- A specific plugin, booking system or other unsupported tool is central to the project.
- The project cannot tolerate uncertainty around authentication or monetization implementation.
