Give Hostinger AI Builder a short project brief first, then refine the result with one specific action per message. Name the exact element to change, attach visual evidence when text is insufficient, and use Select and edit or “Revert to this message” to keep changes controlled. This workflow produces more predictable pages than sending a long list of mixed instructions.
What agentic mode does—and why your communication style matters
Hostinger AI Builder’s agentic mode turns natural-language instructions into a working website or web app. It can generate the code, file structure and backend, rather than limiting you to moving visual blocks on a canvas. Hostinger says the mode supports more than 80 languages, so you can describe a project in the language most comfortable for you.
That automation changes the job from drawing every section yourself to directing an implementation. The agent has to infer priorities, relationships and scope from your words. A message that mixes branding, navigation, copy, forms, mobile behavior and bug fixes can leave the system unsure which change matters most. A short project brief followed by tightly scoped requests gives it a stable context and reduces accidental edits.
Agentic mode is best for generating a functional starting point and making bounded revisions. Manual editing remains useful when you need pixel-level control over spacing, alignment or styling and do not want an AI system to reinterpret surrounding components.

Prepare the information AI Builder needs before you type
The quality of the first build depends on decisions you make before opening the prompt box. Assemble the facts that define the site, then express them in plain language.
- Business or project: State what the organization does and what the site represents.
- Audience: Identify the people who will use the site, including a relevant location or level of expertise.
- Primary outcome: Explain the action you want visitors to take, such as booking, requesting a quote, subscribing or purchasing.
- Visual direction: Give a restrained description of tone, color direction and imagery rather than a long style manifesto.
- Required structure: List essential pages and functions, such as Home, Services, About, FAQ, Contact and a booking form.
- Non-negotiable constraints: Mention responsive behavior, accessibility needs, existing brand colors, legal text or integrations that must remain.
Keep optional ideas out of the first brief. You can add secondary sections after reviewing the generated structure. Separating requirements from later enhancements makes it easier to identify which instruction caused a problem.
Write the initial brief in 2–5 sentences
Hostinger’s current guidance recommends a high-level first message of two to five sentences. The setup description in its getting-started instructions must not exceed 700 characters, including spaces. Treat that limit as a reason to prioritize, not an invitation to compress a full specification into tiny text.
A reliable order is:
- Identify the site and the organization behind it.
- Name the audience and the main user outcome.
- Describe the visual tone and responsive expectation.
- List only the pages or core functions that are essential at launch.
For example:
Create a responsive website for a two-person bicycle repair shop in Austin. Our audience is commuters and weekend riders, and the main goal is to receive booking requests. Use a practical, friendly tone with navy, cream and orange, and include Home, Services, About, FAQ and Contact pages with a booking form.
This example establishes purpose, audience, conversion goal, visual direction and scope without prescribing every heading or sentence. Let the first generation finish before adding details that depend on seeing the result.
Inspect the first generation before changing it
Do not immediately send a second wall of instructions. Review the preview as if you were a visitor and record concrete discrepancies. Check the following areas separately:
- Structure: Are the required pages present, and does navigation connect them?
- Content: Are business names, addresses, services, prices and calls to action accurate, or are there placeholders?
- Conversion path: Can a visitor find the primary action and complete the form without confusion?
- Responsive layout: Inspect narrow and wide views for clipped text, overflowing navigation, crowded cards or images that distort.
- Visual hierarchy: Verify that headings, buttons and supporting copy have an obvious order.
- Functional behavior: Test links, forms, menus and any generated backend behavior before asking for cosmetic refinements.
Write down one issue at a time. “The mobile menu overlaps the logo” is actionable; “the mobile version feels wrong” is not. This inspection also gives you a baseline for deciding whether a later change improved or damaged the page.
Send one concrete action per follow-up message
After the initial build, Hostinger advises requesting one action at a time. Use an imperative verb, identify the target and state any constraint that must remain. The target-and-action pattern prevents the agent from redesigning unrelated sections.

Useful action patterns
- Add: “Add a pricing section with three tiers below the services section.”
- Move: “Move the testimonials section above the FAQ section.”
- Change: “Change the primary button color to the existing orange accent.”
- Keep: “Center the signup button in the hero section and keep its current size.”
- Remove: “Remove the secondary hero button, but leave the primary booking button unchanged.”
- Fix: “Fix the mobile overflow in the navigation bar; keep the logo and menu labels unchanged.”
Combine a requirement and a guardrail when the surrounding design must not move. “Add a three-tier pricing section below Services, keeping the current colors and button style” is still one coherent action because it has one target outcome and one preservation rule.
Messages that create ambiguity
Avoid emotional or unspecific feedback such as “I don’t like the result,” “make it better,” or “it’s giving errors.” Those statements do not identify the affected component or the desired state. Replace them with an observable symptom and a requested correction: “The Contact form submit button is below the viewport on phones; keep the field order and make the button visible without horizontal scrolling.”
Use Select and edit for local changes
When only one component is wrong, use Hostinger’s Select and edit control before sending the instruction. Click the element you want to change; hold Shift to select multiple related elements when necessary. The subsequent prompt is then scoped to that selection instead of asking the agent to infer which instance you mean.
This is particularly useful when a page has repeated cards, buttons or headings. Instead of writing “change the button,” select the specific hero button and request the change. For a group, Shift-click the three pricing cards and ask for consistent padding. Keep the instruction limited to the selected elements so the agent does not reinterpret the rest of the page.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
If the requested change is global—such as updating every page’s primary color—do not select a single component. State the global scope explicitly and tell the agent which existing styles should remain.
Supply visual context with screenshots, images and PDFs
Text cannot always describe a visual defect efficiently. The editor accepts typed prompts, voice-to-text and reference images. Hostinger also documents attaching an image or PDF during setup. Use these inputs to show the intended result or the exact state that needs correction.
Screenshot-led troubleshooting
Capture the page at the breakpoint where the defect appears, then attach the screenshot with a narrowly worded request. Identify the discrepancy and preserve anything that is already correct:

Using the attached screenshot, fix the mobile overflow in the navigation bar. Keep the logo and menu labels unchanged.
A screenshot should support, not replace, the instruction. The agent still needs to know whether to change spacing, wrapping, size or overflow behavior.

Reference images and PDFs
Attach a reference image when color, composition or a visual motif is difficult to express in words. A PDF can provide a supplied brand guide, service list or layout reference during setup. Tell AI Builder what to extract from the attachment and what not to copy blindly. For example, specify that a PDF supplies approved service names while the generated page should retain the existing responsive layout.
Voice-to-text
Voice input is useful for capturing a quick correction, but review the transcribed message before sending it. Correct names, measurements, colors and technical terms that speech recognition may misinterpret. Keep the final request as specific as a typed command.
Recover safely when a change causes errors
When a revision introduces broken layout, missing content or a loop of unsuccessful fixes, stop adding instructions to the damaged state. Use “Revert to this message” to return to the earlier point that worked. Confirm the preview is stable, then resend a smaller correction that addresses the original issue.
- Identify the last preview that was correct.
- Choose Revert to this message for the message immediately before the error began.
- Wait for the rollback to complete and inspect the affected page.
- Rewrite the request as one target, one action and any necessary constraint.
- Apply the change and test it before proceeding to another revision.
Rollback is preferable to stacking compensating prompts. Once several changes interact, it becomes difficult to tell which instruction created the failure and harder for the agent to restore the intended structure.

Use this sequence for a new project or a substantial rebuild:
- Define the launch scope. Decide the audience, primary conversion, essential pages, visual direction and constraints.
- Write the brief. Keep it to two to five sentences and within 700 characters including spaces.
- Generate once. Let agentic mode finish creating the pages, code, file structure and backend before intervening.
- Audit the result. Check navigation, copy, forms, responsive behavior and placeholders on every required page.
- Prioritize defects. Fix blockers such as broken forms or mobile overflow before optional styling.
- Send focused requests. Use one concrete action per message, selecting the target element when the change is local.
- Attach evidence. Include a screenshot, image or PDF when the issue depends on visual context, and use reviewed voice transcription when speaking is faster.
- Rollback when needed. If errors compound, revert to the last good message instead of issuing another broad repair prompt.
- Perform a publication review. Replace placeholder details, verify links and form destinations, test the user journey and publish only after the content and behavior are correct.

Specific correction
[Action] the [exact element] in the [page or section]. Keep [property that must not change].
The documented example, “Center the signup button in the hero section,” works because it names both the action and the target while avoiding unrelated instructions.
Screenshot-led fix

Rollback and retry
Revert to this message.
Send that rollback command first. After the stable version returns, issue a separate correction that addresses only the original defect.
Agentic mode versus manual editing
Both approaches can be useful, but they suit different kinds of work. The following comparison uses the practical differences that matter when deciding how to build or revise a page.
| Decision area | Agentic mode | Manual visual editing |
|---|---|---|
| Interaction method | Natural-language chat prompts, with optional voice input and attachments | Direct manipulation of visual controls and layout settings |
| Typical scope | Functional website or web-app generation, including code, file structure and backend | Layout-level changes where you want hands-on control of individual properties |
| Input types | Text, voice-to-text, screenshots, reference images and PDFs | Values and choices made directly in the editor interface |
| Iteration and recovery | Targeted prompts, Select and edit, and Revert to this message | Immediate visual adjustments and the editor’s available undo controls |
| Best fit | People who want automation from a description and can review generated output | People who prefer to control each spacing, alignment and styling decision themselves |
You do not have to choose one method for the entire project. Generate the application structure agentically, then use manual controls for a final alignment adjustment if that is faster and more predictable.
Common failure modes and the corresponding fix
The agent changes the wrong section
The request probably lacks a unique target. Name the page, section and element, then select it before sending the message. If multiple instances should change, Shift-click those instances or explicitly state the global scope.
A long prompt produces an incomplete build
Mixed instructions compete for attention and make it unclear what must be done first. Revert if the structure is already compromised, then separate the work into an initial brief followed by one action per message.

Placeholder content remains in the published site
Review every generated page before publishing. Replace names, addresses, service descriptions, images, legal copy and form destinations with verified details. Agentic generation can create structure, but it cannot know facts you have not supplied.
A change creates a new error while fixing an old one
Stop and return to the last stable message. Reapply the request with a narrower target and fewer simultaneous constraints. Continuing from a corrupted state usually increases the number of interacting problems.
Pre-publish checklist for an AI-generated site
- All required pages appear in navigation and each link opens the intended destination.
- Business facts, contact details, prices, service names and calls to action are accurate.
- Forms show the correct fields, validation, confirmation behavior and receiving address or integration.
- Primary actions are visible and usable on both desktop and mobile widths.
- Menus, cards, images and text do not overflow or overlap at narrow breakpoints.
- Images and reference assets have appropriate content and do not contain accidental placeholders.
- Typography, color contrast and focus states make key controls understandable.
- No temporary text, sample credentials or unverified claims remain.
- The final user journey—from landing on the home page to completing the main action—works without an editor account.
Hostinger Agent may first gather requirements, show a confirmation brief and recommend AI Builder’s agentic mode. Treat that brief as a checkpoint: confirm that the scope is correct, then inspect the generated pages and replace placeholder details before publication.
Quick wins for a faster PC:

Clear prompts improve control; they do not remove the need for human review. Agentic mode can infer structure and generate implementation across many languages, but it cannot independently verify your business facts, decide whether a legal statement is acceptable or know that a form reaches the correct mailbox unless you test it.
There is no published independent survey, benchmark or performance statistic in the official guidance that proves one prompting style converts better than another. The practical recommendations here are communication rules for reducing ambiguity: establish context once, make each subsequent request testable, provide evidence for visual problems and roll back when the state becomes unreliable.
Used that way, Hostinger AI Builder becomes a controlled collaborator rather than an unpredictable one-shot generator. You supply the decisions and evidence; the agent supplies implementation, while the preview and rollback tools give you checkpoints for correcting its work.
