Honasa Consumer appointed Vipul Maheshwari as its chief product and technology officer (CPTO) on October 23, 2026, expanding his previous product-and-data remit to include product, technology, engineering and analytics. Maheshwari, a six-year Honasa veteran, will lead the company’s stated AI-led transformation and agentic-AI vision across its portfolio of seven beauty and personal-care brands.
Who is Vipul Maheshwari?
Maheshwari was previously Honasa Consumer’s executive vice-president for Product and Data and a member of its senior management. He has worked at Honasa for six years, where the company says he built product and data capabilities.
Before joining Honasa, he held roles at logistics company Delhivery and at Global Analytics India. He has a master’s degree in mathematics and computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.

What does Honasa’s new CPTO role cover?

What is Honasa’s agentic-AI strategy?
Honasa says it is developing AI-powered tools and intelligent workflows that can simplify complex processes, automate tasks and accelerate decisions. It is also exploring agentic systems that can execute multi-step workflows and coordinate tasks while remaining subject to human oversight and guardrails.
In practical terms, an agentic system is intended to do more than answer a prompt: it can plan or sequence several actions, call approved tools and hand work back to people when a decision requires review. Honasa has presented this as a strategic direction, not as evidence that a particular agent is already deployed at scale.

The promotion puts the person who has spent six years developing Honasa’s product and data capabilities in charge of the engineering and technology systems needed to scale them.
