Haryana has announced an online module for correcting routine errors in digital revenue records at tehsil level. It is intended for cases where the online entry differs from the underlying manual record—not for correcting an error that already appears in the manual Jamabandi or printed mutation. The announcement describes the revenue officials’ review process, but does not give citizens an application guide, document checklist, fee, service timeline, or appeal route.
What Haryana’s correction module is meant to fix
Haryana Financial Commissioner Revenue Sumita Misra announced the module across the state’s tehsils, according to Hindustan Times on October 3, 2026. The stated aim is to handle routine digital-record corrections locally rather than refer them to state headquarters.
Examples in the report include an incorrectly recorded khewat share, wrong land area, or an omitted khewat or khasra in the online record. These are examples, not a complete list of errors the module will accept. Misra said: “Common errors in online revenue records will no longer need to be referred to the headquarters and can be resolved at the concerned tehsil itself.”
First check whether the mistake is in the online entry or the source record
Compare the digital entry with the relevant manual record and, where applicable, the printed mutation. The route depends on which record contains the error:

If the digital and manual records both appear wrong, or you cannot tell which record is authoritative for the correction, ask the concerned revenue office which procedure applies. The announcement does not establish a complete citizen process or resolve individual title disputes.
How the reported internal review works
The announcement describes a three-stage chain inside the revenue administration:

- The concerned patwari submits an online correction request.
- The kanungo compares and verifies the request against the manual revenue record.
- The tehsildar gives final approval before the correction is incorporated into the online record.
This is the reported internal workflow, not a citizen-facing how-to. The October announcement does not say how a landholder initiates a request, what supporting documents to provide, whether a correction fee applies, how long review takes, or how to appeal a refusal or delay. Do not assume the steps for another online revenue service also apply here.
What the nearly 99% figure means
Misra was reported as expecting the mechanism to enable nearly 99% of cases involving routine revenue-record errors to be resolved at tehsil level. That is an announced expectation, not evidence that 99% of cases have already been corrected; the report provides no outcome data for the module.

A separate June 2026 government release said pending mutation cases had fallen from nearly five lakh to about 50,000 after a digitisation and clean-up exercise. That figure concerns a mutation backlog and predates the October correction-module announcement; it is not a result of the new module. See the Government of Haryana release.

Haryana has other digital land-record services, but they serve different purposes. A July 27, 2026 government release describes an online application service for digitally certified copies of Jamabandi, Mutation, Fard Badar, and registered sale deeds through the Revenue Haryana Portal. Applicants use a registered mobile number and OTP, receive a tracking ID, and, after verification and payment of the prescribed fee, can access approved documents. Those are steps for obtaining certified copies—not stated requirements for correcting a digital entry. Details are in the Government of Haryana release.

Separately, a June 23, 2026 state release describes Auto Mutation and Paperless Registration 2.0, under which citizens would no longer need to apply separately for mutation after property registration. That digitisation initiative is not the correction module. Haryana’s IT department describes WEB-HALRIS as an integrated system covering deed registration, Jamabandi, mutation, and Khasra Girdawari, implemented in 143 tehsils; this describes the wider system, not the eligibility or procedure for corrections.
