As of 26 October 2026, Hanison Construction Holdings Limited (HKEX:896; 00896.HK) has no dependable published sell-side consensus for FY2027 revenue, earnings per share or a share-price target. Simply Wall St reports insufficient analyst coverage, while Futubull shows no analyst estimates or price-target data. The most defensible reference points are Hanison’s historical FY2026 guidance, its final FY2026 results, construction backlog and a conditional property disposal announced in October 2026.
What are Hanison Construction’s estimates right now?
There are three different figures that can be mistaken for a forecast. Only the first two are company figures, and the FY2026 guidance has already been superseded by the final result.
| Estimate layer | Figure | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Company profit warning, 23 June 2026 | FY2026 loss of HK$880.0 million to HK$900.0 million | Historical guidance, not a FY2027 forecast |
| Final results, 29 June 2026 | HK$895.5 million consolidated loss attributable to owners; HK$1,541.9 million revenue | Reported FY2026 outcome |
| Third-party coverage pages accessed in 2026 | No usable analyst estimates or price target | No published consensus to average or quote |
The final loss landed inside management’s warning range, but that does not create a forward estimate. Any FY2027 number presented as consensus would be unsupported by the currently disclosed coverage.

What did Hanison actually report for FY2026?
FY2026 revenue fell 22.3% year on year to HK$1,541.9 million. The headline loss was driven mainly by property and transaction items rather than by an operating loss on the company’s stated measure.

| FY2026 measure | Reported amount | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue | HK$1,541.9 million | Down 22.3% year on year |
| Consolidated loss attributable to owners | HK$895.5 million | Final audited-year result announced 29 June 2026 |
| Basic loss per share | HK$0.835 (83.5 cents) | Historical FY2026 result, not a forward EPS estimate |
| Operating profit before specified disposal losses, property-revaluation losses and finance costs | HK$39.2 million | Compared with HK$34.6 million in FY2025 on the same stated basis |
| Combined disposal and property-revaluation losses | Approximately HK$891.7 million | Main driver of the reported loss |
| Interest expense | HK$43.0 million | Added to the pressure on attributable earnings |
The two views answer different questions. The HK$895.5 million loss is the statutory result attributable to owners, while HK$39.2 million shows the operating result before the specified disposals, revaluations and finance costs. Property values, transaction timing and funding costs therefore have a much larger effect on reported earnings than the construction operating line alone.
What was the latest interim checkpoint?
For the six months ended 30 September 2025, revenue was HK$770.8 million and loss was HK$274.6 million, versus HK$984.3 million of revenue and HK$193.1 million of loss in the comparable period. Management linked that interim loss mainly to The Connaught disposal, property-revaluation losses and interest costs. This interim comparison is useful for trend analysis, but it is not a FY2027 forecast.
How much future revenue is visible in the order book?
Construction contracts on hand are the clearest disclosed indicator of operating demand, although backlog is not the same as guaranteed next-year revenue. At 31 March 2026, the group reported HK$3,586.7 million of construction contracts on hand.

| Division | FY2026 revenue | Contracts on hand at 31 March 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Construction | HK$1,354.5 million | HK$3,586.7 million |
| Interior and renovation | HK$133.1 million | HK$90.3 million |
| Building materials | HK$107.3 million | HK$59.1 million |
Construction was the dominant division by both current revenue and disclosed backlog. The value converts into revenue as projects progress, but the timing depends on certification, variations, completion schedules, cancellations and margins. The smaller interior, renovation and building-materials backlogs also carry different competitive and pricing risks, so applying one group-wide margin to all contracts can misstate an estimate.
Can the FY2026 guidance be used as a FY2027 EPS forecast?
No. The HK$880.0 million–HK$900.0 million range was issued on 23 June 2026 for the year that had just ended and was replaced by the HK$895.5 million reported loss. The reported basic loss per share of HK$0.835 describes FY2026; no dependable FY2027 EPS estimate has been published in the cited coverage pages.
Simply Wall St lists analyst coverage as insufficient or absent for Hanison, and Futubull’s forecast page provides no analyst estimates or price target. That absence is a data limitation, not evidence that the shares must rise or fall.

What events could change the next estimate?
Could the October 2026 disposal add earnings?
On 12 October 2026, Hanison agreed conditionally to sell the entire target for HK$80 million. The target owns a Hong Kong subsidiary that holds 49% of a PRC property company. Hanison estimates a gain of approximately HK$6.635 million, but the amount is conditional, unaudited and subject to independent-shareholder approval and other conditions, with completion targeted for 15 December 2026.

The transaction is therefore a modelling event rather than a booked gain. The announcement also identifies a 45.44% direct and indirect shareholding attributed to CCM Trust (Cayman) Limited in the connected-transaction context, making the approval conditions particularly important to follow.

Which operating factors support the business?
- Hong Kong public-housing and infrastructure activity could support construction demand.
- A recovery in the Hong Kong construction sector may improve project flow.
- The disclosed construction backlog provides work already awarded, subject to execution and timing.
Which risks can push estimates lower?
- Property-revaluation swings, impairment charges and expected-credit-loss provisions can overwhelm operating profit.
- Interest expense remains material after HK$43.0 million in FY2026.
- Competition and margin pressure are especially relevant to interior and renovation work.
- Property-market volatility can alter disposal values and joint-venture results.
- Construction delays, cost overruns or weaker execution can reduce the profit realized from backlog.
- The absence of analyst coverage increases the risk of wide valuation differences between investors.
How should an investor build a personal FY2027 scenario?
Because no published consensus exists, a transparent scenario model is more useful than a single invented target.
- Start with disclosed work. Use the HK$3,586.7 million construction backlog and the separate interior, renovation and building-materials backlogs as the revenue-visibility base.
- Set timing assumptions explicitly. Decide what portion of each backlog category could be recognized during FY2027, and state the project-completion and cancellation assumptions rather than treating the full balance as one-year revenue.
- Apply division-specific margins. Keep construction, interior and renovation, and building materials separate because management has identified different competitive and pricing conditions.
- Model below-operating items separately. Add interest expense, then create distinct cases for property revaluation, impairment, expected-credit-loss provisions and disposal gains or losses.
- Mark conditional events as conditional. Do not include the estimated HK$6.635 million disposal gain in a base case unless approval, completion and accounting recognition occur; show it as an upside or timing case instead.
- Reconcile to per-share results. Convert the resulting attributable profit or loss to EPS only after checking the applicable share count and any changes disclosed in subsequent filings.
This method keeps operating demand, property volatility and financing sensitivity visible instead of allowing a single exceptional loss to stand in for the entire business outlook.

Where should readers check for an updated estimate?
Refresh the model when Hanison publishes annual results, interim results, profit warnings, valuation updates or announcements about the conditional disposal. Read the accounting date and whether each figure is audited, estimated or subject to approval. Coverage pages from Simply Wall St and Futubull can be checked for changes in analyst participation, but their current pages do not provide a usable consensus for HKEX:896.

Until new company guidance or independent estimates appear, the most defensible conclusion is that Hanison has a measurable construction backlog but no reliable published FY2027 revenue, EPS or share-price consensus. FY2026’s statutory loss must be interpreted alongside the HK$39.2 million operating-profit measure and the unusually large property and disposal effects.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can backlog be converted directly into next year’s revenue?
No. Contract values are recognized as work progresses and can be affected by certification, variations, completion dates, cancellations and cost changes. A backlog balance is therefore a visibility indicator, not a guaranteed annual revenue figure.
Why might the proposed disposal matter if its estimated gain is small?
The estimated HK$6.635 million gain is modest compared with the FY2026 loss, but its timing can affect the period’s reported earnings and cash position. It may also indicate further changes in Hanison’s property exposure, although neither outcome is certain until the transaction completes.
What filings are most useful when updating a Hanison model?
Prioritize the next annual or interim results, any profit warning, valuation or impairment announcement, and the completion or termination notice for the conditional disposal. Check whether each figure is audited and whether an announcement says an amount is only estimated.
Does the lack of analyst coverage make HKEX:896 impossible to value?
No. It means there is no standardized market forecast to compare with the company’s results. Investors can still construct scenarios from backlog, division performance, financing costs and property outcomes, but the range of reasonable values is likely to be wider.
