Grayson Tempest was reported out for Tulsa’s game against North Texas on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026—not for a Saturday game. The report’s “Out Saturday” headline conflicts with its body, which identifies the Thursday matchup. Tulsa’s next scheduled game was at Navy on Saturday, Oct. 10, but the available sources do not confirm Tempest’s status for that game.
Which game was Tempest ruled out for?
RotoWire reported on Oct. 1 that Tempest was ruled out of Tulsa’s game against North Texas that day, citing the American Conference availability report. The conference schedule lists North Texas at Tulsa on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026. RotoWire’s headline says “Out Saturday,” but the game described in its report body was Thursday’s contest.
RotoWire’s Oct. 1 status report and the American Conference schedule establish the date and opponent.
Why was Grayson Tempest out?
The report describes Tempest’s injury as undisclosed. It does not identify a diagnosis, so the available information does not support saying what injury he had or speculating about its severity.

Is Tempest out for Tulsa’s game at Navy?
Not based on these reports. Tulsa’s schedule lists Navy as its next game, on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026. The Oct. 1 report does not confirm whether Tempest would be available for that later matchup. A ruling for North Texas should not be treated as confirmation of his status against Navy.
The conference schedule lists Tulsa at Navy on Oct. 10; FOX Sports’ event page also identifies the scheduled matchup.
