Graveyard Keeper 2 is officially a single-player game. A community-made experimental two-player mod exists, but it is not native or publisher-supported co-op. Saves from the Steam demo are meant to carry into the full Steam game; there is no verified official procedure for importing a save from the original game or transferring saves between platforms. The game has a Steam Workshop, and Steam publishes Windows minimum and recommended specifications. Is Graveyard Keeper 2 multiplayer or co-op?
No. The official Steam listing identifies Graveyard Keeper 2 as single-player, and developer Lazy Bear Games also labels it “Single-player.” The game’s undead army is part of its gameplay; it does not mean another person can join as a second player. The community-authored Keeper Together mod page describes an experimental two-player setup, with Steam-lobby or LAN/VPN connection options. The author describes shared activities such as carrying items in a shared backpack, gathering and basic crafting. These are the mod author’s claims, not independently verified features or official game capabilities.

The author also warns that the experience is unfinished: combat and story synchronization are incomplete, and bugs or desynchronization can occur. Host control over NPC interactions, construction, equipment and story progression is a substantial limitation, so two players should not expect two fully independent characters progressing through a synchronized campaign.
The mod uses a separate co-op save with a coop_... naming pattern, and its page describes backups of the host’s original save. That separation reduces the chance of confusing the experimental save with a normal one, but it is not a guarantee against loss or corruption. If you decide to try it, back up your saves first and follow the author’s current instructions; do not assume that steps for this Windows x64 mod apply to other mods or platforms.
Does the demo save transfer to the full game?
Yes, for the Graveyard Keeper 2 Steam demo and full Steam game, the save is expected to carry over automatically. The publisher’s September 22, 2026 launch announcement says demo saves carry into the full release. The developer’s September 25 changelog also says demo-save milestones unlock Steam achievements retroactively in the full game. If the save does not appear on Windows, tinyBuild documents a manual recovery route. Treat this as a file operation on the documented Windows Steam case, not a general save-transfer method for consoles, other PC storefronts or the original game.
How to copy a missing Windows demo save
- Preserve the existing files first. Close the game and make a backup of the current Graveyard Keeper 2 save folder before copying anything. This gives you a recovery point if the wrong files are moved or overwritten.
- Open the demo save folder. In File Explorer’s address bar, enter

Keep the two games’ save questions separate. The announced carryover applies to the sequel’s own demo save moving into the sequel’s full Steam game. It is not evidence that progress, characters or files from the first game can be imported. Steam Cloud on the PC listing likewise does not establish that saves move between different games or platform families.

No verified cross-platform save procedure is documented for Graveyard Keeper 2, including transfers between PC and consoles or between console families. Does Graveyard Keeper 2 support mods?

How to compare your PC with the listing
- Check the full system, not just the graphics label. Compare your processor, installed RAM, GPU, operating system and free storage with the relevant tier. Meeting the GPU line alone does not confirm that a system meets the other requirements.
- Interpret “or similar” cautiously. The listing does not define an exact performance equivalence for every processor or graphics chip. Laptop and desktop versions of a GPU model may also be in different systems, so a model name by itself does not establish compatibility.
- Do not treat the recommended tier as a mandatory upgrade list. Compare your current hardware with the published minimum and recommended specifications before considering changes; the listing does not claim that every PC below the recommended tier is unable to run the game.
- Separate the Steam Deck claim from the Windows table. The official FAQ says the game is Steam Deck Verified. That is a separate compatibility designation, not a native Linux or macOS system-requirements listing.
Where is Graveyard Keeper 2 available?
