Google Search Console now lets users select multiple countries in a Performance report’s Country filter and view their combined Google Search traffic in one report view. The feature was reported on October 6, 2026, quoting Google’s LinkedIn announcement. It makes it easier to inspect selected markets together; it does not establish a custom-region builder or replace country-by-country comparison.
What changed in Google Search Console?
Google said it was updating Search Console Performance report filters to make it easier to analyze traffic patterns across countries and devices. The announcement, quoted by Search Engine Roundtable on October 6, 2026, says users operating in multiple countries can now view their combined Google Search traffic.
Country was already a supported Performance report dimension, and Google’s help documentation already covered filtering and comparing countries. The reported change is the ability to select several countries together for a combined view. The available sources do not establish a universal rollout schedule or confirm that the control is available in every Performance report type.
How do I group countries in Google Search Console?
- Open the relevant Performance report in Search Console.
- Open the Country filter and select the countries you want to include.
- Apply the selection to view results for those countries together.
The October 2026 report describes selecting multiple countries, but does not specify exact control labels or establish that the same option appears in every report variant. Google’s Performance report walkthrough explains existing country filtering and comparison workflows.

Combined view or country comparison: which should you use?
| Workflow | What it shows | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Multiple countries selected together | A combined result for the selected markets in one report view. | You want to inspect those markets as a group. |
| Country comparison | Separate results for two countries to compare them side by side. | You want to see how individual markets differ. Google’s help documentation describes a two-country comparison workflow. |
The multi-select feature is a filter for a combined view, not evidence that Search Console creates, saves, or manages custom regions. For the separate comparison workflow, see Google’s country comparison instructions.
How to interpret the combined numbers
In the Search results Performance report, the principal metrics are clicks, impressions, click-through rate (CTR), and average position. The table can group data by country, and country data is aggregated by property. Google explains the available metrics and groupings in its Performance report overview and dimensions and data groupings documentation.

- Check chart and table totals separately. They can differ because Search Console aggregates data differently by dimension.
- Treat the newest data cautiously. Recent readings can be preliminary and may change.
- Keep the property scope in mind. Search Console data covers links sending users to the current property; it is not a universal total across unrelated properties.
Google documents these interpretation limits in its Performance report overview and data grouping guidance.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can you export the grouped results?
Search Console lets you export the report data currently shown, including applied filters or grouping, to Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, or CSV. An export contains displayed report rows and may be limited to 1,000 representative rows even when the report’s totals cover more data. See Google’s instructions for exporting report data.
