Google confirmed that Google One prices purchased from Google increased in Pakistan in 2026. New members faced updated prices from July 27; renewal dates depend on whether you pay through Google Play or Apple. Google has not published a complete Pakistan price table in its notice, so check the price shown in your own Google One account before deciding whether to keep or change your plan.
When the Google One price increase took effect in Pakistan
Google One Help says the price increase applies in select countries and regions, including Pakistan, and that the amount varies by plan and local currency. The dates differ by subscription status and billing channel:

Google said it would notify existing subscribers by email and show a banner in the Google One web experience or its Android and iOS apps. If you are unsure which date applies, check your account’s subscription and renewal details; the billing channel matters.
What Google One costs in Pakistan
Google’s price-change notice confirms the increase but does not give a complete list of Pakistan prices by plan. It says changes vary by plan and country or region currency, and directs members to check their own plan price. During the research for this article, Google’s Pakistan-localized plans page displayed Indonesian rupiah rather than PKR, so those displayed amounts cannot be treated as Pakistan prices.

- Basic 100 GB: ProPakistani reported on April 1, 2026 that the monthly price had risen from PKR 219 to PKR 419. That report predates the July increase, so PKR 419 is not a verified current post-increase price.
- Prices reported in September: PakEra reported on September 28, 2026 that Google’s Pakistan plans page showed PKR 250 per month for 30 GB, PKR 550 per month for 100 GB, and PKR 5,600 per month for 5 TB Google AI Pro. These are secondary-reported figures, not prices confirmed in Google’s price-update notice; verify your own account’s current offer and renewal amount.
Do not estimate a current price by applying a percentage or difference from an older figure. The amount may vary by plan and billing currency, and your account page is the practical place to confirm what you will be charged.
How to check your plan price and renewal date
- Open Google One while signed in to the Google Account that holds the subscription, using the Google One website or app.
- Open your membership or plan details and review the displayed plan price, billing channel, and next renewal date. If you subscribed through Apple or Google Play, check the subscription details in that billing account as well.
- Compare the renewal amount with the price you currently pay. Check that the displayed currency is PKR and that the figure is for your actual plan and billing period.
- If you do not want to continue at the new price, cancel through the same billing channel before the applicable renewal deadline. Confirm that cancellation is recorded.
What to weigh before changing or canceling
Count all storage tied to your Google Account
Google One storage is shared across Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail. A plan that seems oversized for Drive files alone may still be needed for photos, videos, or email. Check total account usage against the quota before downgrading.

Decide whether the AI benefits are worth the difference
Some Google One plans bundle Gemini and other AI features as well as storage. Compare the features included in your specific tier with the AI tools you actually use; benefits and availability vary by plan. If your main requirement is extra storage, an AI-inclusive tier may not suit your needs unless its additional features justify the cost to you.
Check family sharing conditions
Google says eligible Basic and higher plans can be shared with up to five other people, subject to plan and benefit restrictions. If several people use the membership, include their storage needs in the comparison rather than considering only your own account.

Account for migration effort if considering another provider
Another cloud-storage service may cost less or fit a different workflow, but it will not automatically replace the integration between Google storage, Gmail, Photos, and Drive. Consider how you would move files and photos and whether your email or other services depend on Google’s shared quota before switching.
What happens to your storage if you cancel
Google says paid benefits continue until the end of the current billing cycle after cancellation. Cancellation does not by itself mean your stored content is immediately erased. However, if the account is over its remaining storage allowance once the paid benefits end, Google warns that Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos may be interrupted. Review your storage use and Google’s cancellation guidance before changing plans.

Why Google says prices are changing
Google’s notice confirms the price change and its timing but does not state a business reason. It is therefore not established by that notice whether the increase reflects infrastructure costs or another factor.
