Google’s current help page says it is available on Android to users with Google AI Pro or Google AI Ultra, and to users with a Pixel mobile device. That is the current documented eligibility—not confirmation that a broader rollout is happening now.
What Google Keep’s AI list feature does
The feature turns a natural-language request into a draft checklist inside Google Keep. You can review the suggestions, adjust the prompt and generate another draft, then insert the version you want into Keep. Google recommends describing the list clearly, such as “Packing list for a camping trip with 2 kids in summer” or “Groceries for a week for a vegetarian family of 3.” Google’s Keep instructions describe the feature and its controls.
How to create a list in Keep
- Open Google Keep on an eligible Android device and tap Create.
- Select Help me create a list.
- Enter a specific request—for example, a packing list for a camping trip with children in summer—and tap Create.
- Review the suggested items. If needed, revise the prompt and generate another suggestion.
- Tap Insert to add the list to Keep. You can also provide feedback on the result.
Who can use it
Google’s current Keep Help page lists Android availability and these eligibility routes: a Google AI Pro subscription, a Google AI Ultra subscription, or a Pixel mobile device. The page does not list regions or every possible account exception, so eligibility should not be taken to mean the feature is available to every user or account. Check the feature in Keep on Android and consult Google’s current eligibility guidance for the latest details.
Is Google rolling it out to more users now?
A 9to5Google report dated August 22, 2024, described the standalone Keep feature as beginning a wider Android rollout after earlier Workspace Labs testing. That report is historical: it does not establish that a new expansion is under way in October 2026. Google’s current help page documents the feature and who may be eligible, but does not give a current rollout schedule or regional dates. Read the August 2024 rollout report.

Keep inside Gemini is a separate way to work with lists
Google also supports using Keep through the Gemini app. This is distinct from tapping Help me create a list in Keep: the Gemini connection can create notes and lists, add items to existing lists, find note content, and refer to notes in conversation. Google’s May 13, 2025 Workspace announcement said the connected Workspace apps rollout could take up to 15 days; that was the rollout window for that announcement, not a current estimate for Keep’s standalone feature.
For the Gemini-app connection, Google’s setup guidance says to sign in to Gemini, turn on Keep Activity, and connect Google Workspace to Gemini. Prompts can name the app with @Google Keep, and the Gemini and Keep accounts must match. See Google’s Gemini Apps Help instructions.

Review AI suggestions and protect sensitive information
Google cautions that “Gemini features may suggest inaccurate or inappropriate information.” Check generated items before relying on them, especially if a list affects health, safety, or another important decision; Google says not to rely on Gemini features for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. If you send feedback, avoid including personal, confidential, or sensitive information: Google warns that feedback may be human-readable. Details are in Google Keep Help.
