Google has not officially announced the Fitbit Edge. October 2026 reports describe it as a compact fitness tracker with an oval AMOLED display, GPS and health-tracking features, and leaked prices of €179 in Europe and £159 in the UK. Its specifications, price, launch date and availability remain unconfirmed.
What the Fitbit Edge leak reports
According to a Dealabs report relayed by 9to5Google on October 6, 2026, the Edge is expected to be a small-screen fitness tracker rather than a screenless band or a full smartwatch. The publication lists these reported specifications; Google has not confirmed them.
| Item | Leak-reported detail |
|---|---|
| Display | 1.34-inch AMOLED |
| Battery | Up to seven days with always-on display off; up to two days with it on |
| Water resistance | IP68 and 5ATM |
| Connectivity | Bluetooth 5.4 |
| Phone compatibility | Android 11 or later and iOS 16.4 or later |
| Weight | 17.7 grams |
| Reported functions | SpO2, step and heart-rate tracking, ECG, VO2 Max, automatic activity recognition, built-in GPS and an altimeter |
These details are leak-derived, not verified product specifications. The battery figures are reported maximums tied to the always-on display setting, not a guarantee of real-world endurance. The report does not establish how any listed health feature will work, which regions will receive it, or whether all functions will be available at launch. 9to5Google’s October 6 report attributes the details to Dealabs.
Reported design and colors
Leaked imagery described by Spanish publication Cinco Días reportedly shows a rounded, pill-shaped display, elongated metal strips on the sides and a quick-release mechanism for swapping bands. The reported color options are Obsidian (black), Olive (green) and Canyon (orange). These descriptions are based on leak coverage, not images or specifications confirmed by Google.

Because Google has not announced the device, these figures should be treated as leak-reported pricing rather than confirmed retail prices. The reports do not establish when or where the Edge will be sold.
When could it launch?
No launch date is confirmed in the cited reports. October timing is speculation, not a Google announcement, and the reporting does not establish retail availability. Google has not provided an Edge-specific statement in the sources cited here.

Where the Edge might fit in Fitbit’s lineup
Coverage has framed the Edge as a possible successor to the Fitbit Charge 6, positioned between the screenless Fitbit Air and the Pixel Watch. That is an editorial comparison, not a confirmed replacement plan or lineup strategy. If the leaked form and features are accurate, the Edge would offer a visible display and more traditional tracker functions than a screenless band, while remaining distinct from a full smartwatch; that positioning is an inference, not a confirmed product description.
Google announced Fitbit Air on May 7, 2026, describing it as a screenless wearable. That announcement provides useful context for the existing Fitbit range but does not verify the Edge, its features or its launch. Google’s Fitbit Air announcement covers Air specifically.
What buyers should verify before choosing one
Until Google confirms the product, do not treat a listing, price or compatibility claim as final. Before buying, check for an official announcement and verify the exact regional price, release date, phone requirements, health-feature availability, water-resistance rating and included band or accessories. The leak reports do not establish a compatible band or charger standard, and no Edge retail listing is verified in the cited coverage.
