Google documents downloading an Enterprise MSI and distributing it through management tools or running it directly on the destination computer. The quick-start instructions describe silent installation and note that the package must be newer than the Chrome version already deployed.
- Open Google’s Chrome Enterprise download page and obtain the appropriate current MSI package.
- Transfer the package to the Windows computers that need Chrome, or make it available through your organization’s software deployment system. A USB drive can be used as transfer media when the target computer cannot access the download, but Google does not require or endorse a particular drive.
- Deploy the MSI using your management tool or run it on the destination computer, following Google’s Chrome Enterprise quick-start guidance.
- Check the installed Chrome version and confirm that the device receives updates through your organization’s intended management process.
Can you install this exact version offline?
The official materials support a locally deployable MSI workflow for managed Windows computers. Why use a current supported release?
Google says Chrome receives regular milestone updates and recommends using the latest version; its Enterprise FAQ states that older MSI versions are unavailable and unsupported. The FAQ describes updates as approximately every two weeks, while Google’s troubleshooting guidance describes major stable releases as historically arriving about every four weeks.
