Gamescom Asia’s 2026 joint edition with Thailand Game Show is scheduled for 29 October to 1 November 2026 at Bangkok’s Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Organizers say visitors from 29 countries and 20 national pavilions are planned, with an expanded show floor and attendance targeted above the 206,159 people recorded by the 2025 edition. Those 2026 figures are pre-event plans, not final results; as of 28 October, no post-show attendance or floor-space total had been released.
How many people attended gamescom Asia in 2025?
The 2025 gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show drew 206,159 attendees from 95 countries, according to the organizers’ official release. It also recorded 5,590 games-industry professionals from 81 countries, 294 exhibitors and country pavilions, more than 200 indie games, and 30,000 square metres of event space.
The organizers described the 2025 joint edition as a record for both predecessor events. An official post-show summary repeated the attendance and professional-visitor totals and said the combined show exceeded the previous records of gamescom asia and Thailand Game Show.
Is gamescom Asia getting bigger in 2026?
Yes, the 2026 preview presents expansion as a target. The show is promoting visitors from 29 countries, 20 national pavilions and a larger floor area, while aiming to exceed the finalized 2025 attendance total. Because the 2026 event had not opened at the 28 October reporting cut-off, these are announced plans rather than audited outcomes.

What is driving the larger floor?
The preview attributes part of the increase to a partnership with the anime event Ace Bangkok, which is expected to account for half of the additional floor area. That arrangement broadens the public-facing entertainment footprint, but it does not by itself establish how many square metres the 2026 show will occupy.
Which countries are new to the pavilion program?
Germany, Austria and the Philippines are identified as new country pavilions in the 2026 preview. The event is also promoted as drawing visitors from 29 countries, a different measure from the number of national pavilions.
How do the 2024, 2025 and 2026 editions compare?
The figures below separate finalized post-show results from the 2026 preview so that a target is not mistaken for a measured result.

What is the difference between gamescom Asia and Thailand Game Show?
The 2025 event combined the two brands into one Bangkok edition rather than presenting gamescom asia as a stand-alone trade show. The resulting format joined gamescom asia’s business, conference and international-industry functions with Thailand Game Show’s large consumer audience, producing a much bigger attendance and floor area than gamescom asia’s 2024 stand-alone figures.
For visitors, that means one event can include public demos, creators and fan activities alongside developer meetings, publishing discussions and investment networking. For comparisons, the 2024 gamescom asia numbers should not be treated as a like-for-like attendance baseline for the combined 2025 and 2026 editions.
What will be at the 2026 show?
The preview describes a four-stage business-to-business speaker program with 70 people. Early exhibition participation named in the announcement includes PlayStation, Nintendo through local licensee Synnex, Capcom, Bandai Namco, Sega and The Pokémon Company.

Who is the event designed for?
- Developers and publishers: meetings, conference sessions, investment contacts and access to regional partners.
- Industry professionals: a business area and networking alongside the public show.
- Players and creators: hands-on entertainment programming, community activity and indie-game discovery.

The official positioning calls the Bangkok event Southeast Asia’s largest games event. The 2025 release likewise describes a gathering of developers, publishers, gamers and creators of gaming hardware and peripherals.

The Bangkok format is intended to give Asian developers and publishers access to a Gamescom-style industry meeting without requiring travel to Germany. The preview reports that business attendance is approximately 40% Thailand-based and 60% international; that split is secondary preview reporting, not a final 2026 statistic.
Koelnmesse Singapore Project Director Daria La Valle said the rapid expansion reflects how quickly Asia’s gaming ecosystem is evolving. At the 2025 opening ceremony, Thailand Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Dr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas described gaming as a driver of the global creative economy.

Is gamescom Asia worth attending for developers?
It can be valuable for developers seeking publisher conversations, regional distribution contacts, investors or visibility among an international professional audience. The 2025 result of 5,590 professionals from 81 countries shows the scale of the trade component, while the combined consumer format offers a route to player feedback and discovery.
Developers should distinguish those potential benefits from guaranteed outcomes: the available 2026 information does not promise a particular number of meetings, deals or professional visitors. The practical case is strongest for teams that can use the conference and networking program as well as the public show floor.
When and where is the 2026 event?
Gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2026 is scheduled for 29 October–1 November 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. Attendance, floor-space and exhibitor totals should be treated as provisional until organizers publish a post-show report.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the 2026 attendance number be confirmed after the event?
Yes. The figures currently promoted are targets and planned participation counts. A final total should come from the organizers’ post-show reporting, which can differ from registration or forecast numbers.
How many professional visitors came to gamescom asia in 2024?
The stand-alone 2024 edition reported 4,439 business visitors from 68 countries. That count predates the joint gamescom asia–Thailand Game Show format.
What does a national pavilion mean at the show?
A national pavilion is a grouped country presentation for companies or organizations from that market. It is not the same metric as visitor-country count, since one pavilion can represent many exhibitors and visitors can come from countries without a pavilion.
Are the named 2026 companies confirmed as exhibitors?
The preview names early participation by PlayStation, Nintendo via Synnex, Capcom, Bandai Namco, Sega and The Pokémon Company. Exhibition rosters can change before the show, so the announcement should be read as early participation rather than a complete final list.
