It was controlled per app from Settings, but results varied widely. Surviving package records identify version 1.4.1 for iOS 3.2; they do not establish support, availability, or safe installation on modern iPadOS.
The problem FullForce was designed to solve
Early iPads could run many iPhone apps, but apps that had not been adapted for the larger screen were normally shown at their original phone size or enlarged with the system’s 2× button. That enlargement made the interface occupy more of the display, yet text and graphics could look visibly grainy.
FullForce attempted a different approach: it modified selected iPhone apps so they rendered in an iPad-style full-screen layout without the obvious distortion associated with 2× zoom. The tweak was aimed at jailbroken iPads and depended on the software environment of that era, not on an official App Store feature.
iMore’s 2010 review describes the tweak as an automatic formatter for iPhone apps. A later 9to5Mac report also described FullForce making Google Maps run full-screen on a jailbroken iPad. Those accounts document historical behavior, not current Google Maps compatibility.

How users controlled it
After installation, FullForce added an Extensions section in the iPad’s Settings app. Users could find an individual application and switch FullForce on or off for that app, rather than applying one global setting to every iPhone-only program.
- Open Settings on the jailbroken iPad.
- Open the Extensions section added by the tweak.
- Select an application in the FullForce list.
- Toggle FullForce for that application, then relaunch the app if necessary.
The per-app design mattered because an app could look excellent, merely usable, or broken after the forced formatting.

Compatibility was app-specific
The iMore reviewer’s observations show why FullForce was not a universal fix. These examples describe the apps and software versions available at the time of that review; they are not a modern compatibility test.
| App | Historical observation |
|---|---|
| Formatted well in the iMore review. | |
| Beejive | Formatted well in the iMore review. |
| Reeder | Formatted well in the iMore review. |
| Plants vs. Zombies | Did not format successfully in the iMore review. |
| Doodle Jump | Did not format successfully in the iMore review. |
| Google Maps | Later reported by 9to5Mac as running full-screen with FullForce. |
The developers reportedly maintained a compatibility and issues list in a shared Google document that users could reach through Cydia. That list was useful for choosing which apps to enable, but it should not be treated as a complete test matrix or a current database.

Package details and historical requirements
An archived BigBoss package record identifies FullForce as version 1.4.1 by Ryan Petrich. The record lists it as free and compatible with iOS 3.2, and names dependencies including MobileSubstrate, PreferenceLoader, AppList and other Cydia-era components.
Those details explain the period in which the tweak was intended to operate. They are archived metadata, not installation instructions. The record does not prove that the original package can still be downloaded, that its repository is reachable, or that it works with any modern jailbreak or iPadOS release.

What FullForce could—and could not—guarantee
- It could: attempt to make selected iPhone apps occupy the iPad screen with less of the softness produced by 2× enlargement.
- It could: let the user enable or disable the behavior on an app-by-app basis.
- It could not: make every app compatible. Layout assumptions, graphics, touch targets and orientation handling remained the responsibility of each app.
- It did not: constitute official iPad support from the app developer or Apple.
Is FullForce still useful today?
There is no established current support claim. The surviving package information points to iOS 3.2, while the contemporary reviews date from 2010 and 2012. Nothing in those sources verifies operation on current iPadOS, a present-day jailbreak, or any named app today.
For historical interest, FullForce is a clear example of how jailbreak developers addressed the early iPad’s iPhone-app compatibility gap. For a current device, treat it as legacy software: do not assume the package is obtainable, do not install it on the basis of old dependency information, and do not infer compatibility from a 2010 app list.

Verdict
FullForce was an inventive, narrowly targeted workaround for an early iPad limitation. Its strongest feature was per-app control, and its main weakness was equally clear: success depended on the individual app. The historical record supports that assessment, but it does not support recommending FullForce for any modern iPad.
