Short answer: Epic’s current public help pages do not confirm “bounty quests” as a current formal quest category or establish that they pay more XP or progress differently from regular quests. Regular quests have objective-specific rewards, often XP, levels, or cosmetics; check the current Quests screen for any bounty-style objective’s displayed reward and progress conditions.

What counts as a regular Fortnite quest?

Epic describes quests as objectives completed by playing a Fortnite experience. Each quest has its own reward, usually XP, level-ups, or cosmetic items, so there is no single reward amount that applies to every quest. Epic also notes that available quests can be viewed in the Quests screen and that different Fortnite experiences have different quests. Epic’s quest guidance does not define a universal bounty-quest category.

Epic identifies Daily, Weekly, and Seasonal quests as XP sources. Their schedules differ: Daily quests reset each day, while Weekly quests refresh on Tuesday, according to Epic’s XP support page.

Are bounty quests available, and do they pay more?

The current official help pages cited here do not establish whether bounty contracts or bounty-style quests are available in the live Battle Royale build, nor do they publish a bounty-specific payout, timer, target rule, or progress condition. That means there is no supported general claim that bounty quests give more XP than regular quests.

“Bounty quest” may refer to a bounty-style contract a player sees in a particular mode or season rather than a documented current quest category. If one appears in your game, treat its tile and on-screen details as authoritative for that objective: compare its displayed reward and exact completion condition with a regular quest rather than assuming a fixed bounty premium.

How rewards and pass progress compare

When a quest awards XP, that XP advances all of your active Fortnite passes at the same time, according to Epic’s XP guidance and Battle Pass progress guidance. The available guidance does not identify a separate pass-progress advantage for bounty objectives. The useful comparison is the XP actually shown for each objective, if any, and whether its requirements fit the experience you are playing.

Pass progress is not the same as entitlement to every pass reward. Epic says each pass must be purchased separately to access its premium rewards. Some Battle Pass rewards also require reaching a particular level and claiming earlier rewards; see Epic’s Battle Pass explanation.

How to check a bounty-style objective in game

  1. Open the Quests screen in Fortnite and find the objective. Epic says available quests are shown there, with quests differing by experience.
  2. Read the full objective and mode context. Note what action is required and which experience or mode accepts progress; do not assume progress transfers between modes.
  3. Check the reward displayed on the tile. Compare the actual reward with a regular quest rather than relying on a general bounty label.
  4. Track the visible progress condition. Use the in-game counter, target, or any stated expiry shown for that specific objective. The cited official help pages do not supply universal bounty rules.
  5. Check the quest’s schedule separately. Epic documents daily resets for Daily quests and Tuesday refreshes for Weekly quests, but those schedules should not be applied to a bounty-style task unless its own details say so.

Do not confuse quest packs with ordinary quest rewards

Some V-Bucks Quest Packs use a separate mechanic: Epic says they require Global Daily Bonus Goals, of which only three are available each day, and those goals can be completed in any Fortnite experience. This rule applies to the relevant paid packs, not to ordinary quests generally. See Epic’s Quest Pack V-Bucks support page.

What older Fortnite quest examples can—and cannot—tell you

Epic’s v10.00 patch notes from 2019 include historical mission and quest objectives with rewards such as Battle Stars, XP, and cosmetics, including mode-specific examples. Those notes show that quest formats and rewards have varied over time; they do not establish current Battle Royale bounty availability or current bounty payouts.
