What is a chaffle?
A chaffle is a waffle-style food commonly made from eggs and cheese. Cuisinart’s Keto Friendly Waffles (Chaffles) recipe uses two large eggs and one cup of shredded mozzarella; coconut flour, baking powder, and vanilla are optional. The recipe directs cooks to preheat a Cuisinart round classic waffle maker and cook the batter in it.
That recipe is one example, not a requirement to use Cuisinart equipment or those exact ingredients. Atkins also specifies a waffle maker for its keto waffle recipe and suggests lightly coating the plates with non-stick spray (Atkins keto waffle recipe).
Do you need a mini waffle maker?
No. A standard round waffle maker is used in Cuisinart’s chaffle recipe. Dash also markets a mini waffle maker for keto chaffles and includes a recipe guide on its Holiday Mini Waffle Maker page. These examples establish that both standard and mini formats can be used; they do not show that one format cooks chaffles better.
