If only full-page capture fails, note that distinction rather than assuming one universal cause: users have reported blank output, but the available report does not establish an official fix.
Diagnose where the capture fails
FireShot supports visible-area and full-page capture, as well as scrolling selection. A comparison between modes can help describe the failure; it is not a guaranteed fix. FireShot’s Mozilla Add-ons listing describes these capture options.

Check the page and capture mode
- Reload the affected page if its content is visibly incomplete in the browser.
- Wait for the content you need to appear, then try a visible-area capture.
- Try full-page capture separately. Note whether the saved result is blank, partly loaded, or missing specific sections.
- Repeat only as needed to establish whether the behavior is limited to a single page or occurs on multiple sites.
FireShot’s listing includes full-page, visible-area and selection capture, with PDF, PNG and JPEG export options. Trying another capture mode or output format may help identify what is failing, but the reviewed sources do not establish that changing formats fixes blank output. Review any permission prompt carefully
A separate FireShot Pro forum report describes a prompt reading, “To enable a better capture experience, FireShot requires additional permissions.” The poster said visible-area capture worked and that the prompt’s Accept and Cancel buttons did not work for them. That report makes a permission prompt worth checking when one appears; it does not explain every blank screenshot. Read the permission-prompt report.

Do not grant broad website access automatically. Google explains that access to all websites can allow an extension to read, request or modify data on pages you visit, including sensitive pages. Read the actual browser prompt and decide whether its requested scope is appropriate for your use. Google’s explanation of extension permissions.
Record versions and reproduce the issue
Version details matter when reporting a browser-extension problem. One user’s January 6, 2026 report involved FireShot 2.1.4.4 on Windows 11 Pro 24H2 and Chrome 143.0.7499.170. Another user replied on January 14, 2026, describing similar scrolling-capture problems on several sites with the same extension version and saying the non-Pro version still worked for them. These are individual reports, not proof that Pro caused the issue or that the same setup affects other users. See the report and reply.

The Chrome listing identifies a later FireShot version, 2.1.4.18, updated May 24, 2026; that listing does not establish whether it resolves the reported failure. Check the listing for the version currently available to you rather than treating the older report’s configuration as current. FireShot on the Chrome Web Store.
- Browser name and version
- FireShot version and whether it is Pro
- Operating system and version
- Affected page URL or URLs
- Capture mode and export format
- Whether the browser page itself looks complete
- Whether a permission prompt appeared, and the result of each capture mode
When to contact FireShot support
If the failure persists, post a reproducible report in FireShot’s official support forum. Include the details above and the steps that lead to the blank or incomplete file. FireShot’s Mozilla listing directs users with technical issues to that forum, but the reviewed blank-output report does not show a staff-published resolution. Open the FireShot support forum.

There is no evidence in the reviewed reports that reinstalling FireShot, buying Pro, changing a hardware setting, or disabling unrelated extensions will fix this particular problem. FireShot Pro lists editing and PDF-related features, but no cited source says that Pro resolves blank captures.
