The fastest way to progress in FarmVille 2: Country Escape is to treat Farm Orders as your production plan. Check the current requests first, plant only crops that support those requests or an imminent workshop job, process harvests promptly, and spend premium resources only when they remove a real bottleneck. This approach protects storage space and keeps every field and workshop working toward a useful reward.
How the core production loop works
Country Escape is a mobile-focused FarmVille game designed for short sessions, and Zynga presents it as playable even when you are not connected to the internet. Its economy is built around a simple chain: fields create raw crops, workshops convert those crops into products, and the Farm Orders board pays you for products that match current requests.
- Inspect Farm Orders. Read every active request before planting. The board tells you which outputs have immediate value.
- Plant from the General Store. Open the General Store, choose a crop, drag it onto an available plot, water it, and wait for harvest.
- Queue a workshop job. Put available inputs into the workshop that makes the product an order requires.
- Deliver a useful order. Turn in a completed request, then use the reward on the capacity or progression improvement that addresses your current constraint.
This sequence prevents the most common beginner mistake: filling the farm with attractive-looking crops that do not contribute to an order, a workshop recipe, or a near-term objective.

There is no single best crop for every account. The right choice depends on the requests currently displayed, the time you can wait, your available storage, and whether a workshop is ready to consume the harvest. Use the following priority order whenever you open the game.

1. Match a live Farm Order
If an order asks for a raw crop, plant that crop first. If it asks for a processed product, identify the workshop input and plant the crop needed for that production chain. A crop that completes a request has a clear purpose; a crop planted “just in case” occupies field and storage capacity without guaranteeing a return.
2. Feed a workshop you will use soon
When no order can be completed immediately, choose crops that supply a workshop job you expect to queue next. Check that the workshop is available, that you can hold the resulting product, and that the product appears on a current or likely order. Do not grow an input merely because a workshop can make something from it.
3. Build a small general reserve
Only after live orders and imminent workshop jobs are covered should you plant for general stock. Keep this reserve small. Storage is a hard limit, and unplanned stock can prevent you from collecting a harvest that would complete a valuable request.
Compare crops by more than the timer
| Question | Why it matters | Beginner decision |
|---|---|---|
| Does the crop satisfy a current order? | It converts field time directly into a deliverable reward. | Give it the highest priority. |
| Does it supply a workshop you can queue? | An unprocessed harvest may not be useful until it becomes an orderable product. | Plant only when the workshop and storage can accept the chain. |
| How long can you wait? | Longer completion times are easier to manage when you will be away from the game. | Use the crop that fits your next play session, not an abstract “best” timer. |
| How much space will it consume? | Harvested items occupy storage and can block other deliveries. | Avoid harvesting into a nearly full inventory unless the item has an immediate use. |
| Is an input scarce? | A crop may be ready while a required companion input is unavailable. | Check the entire workshop chain before committing field space. |
Exact crop timers, payouts, and recipes can change with the live game. Read the values shown in your current build rather than relying on an old crop chart.
Planting crops from the General Store
Zynga’s “How do I plant a Crop?” support article documents the basic planting interaction. Use this sequence for each plot:
- Open the General Store.
- Select the crop you intend to grow.
- Drag the crop onto an available land plot.
- Water the planted crop.
- Wait for the crop to finish, then harvest it when you can use or store the result.
The same support documentation states: “A player can have a maximum of 6 similar Crops of each type for Land Crops.” Treat that as a documented limit to verify in your current build, because support pages and game rules can change. If the game refuses an additional planting, check whether you have reached this per-type field limit before looking for another cause.

Using workshops without creating a queue bottleneck
Workshops are the conversion stage between farming and selling. Zynga’s Getting Started documentation describes them this way: “Workshops let you take the goods you grow on your Farm and make them into something that you can sell at the Farm Orders board.” In practice, a workshop turns a raw harvest into the form an order requests.
Queue the next useful job
When a workshop is idle and you already have a needed input, queue the product that supports an active order. If several products are possible, choose the one with the clearest destination: a request that can be delivered soon, rather than a product that will sit in storage.
Plan around workshop time
A field can finish before its workshop. That is not automatically a problem, but it becomes one when the harvested input fills storage. Before planting, estimate whether the workshop will be free by the time the crop is ready and whether you have room for both the input and the finished product.
Do not let an idle workshop hide a missing input
An idle workshop does not always mean you should plant immediately. First identify the exact input it needs and confirm that the resulting product is useful. If the input is scarce or the order has expired, redirect your next planting rather than building stock with no clear outlet.
Use a simple queue rule
- Current order available: make the requested product.
- No immediate order, but a near-term objective needs the product: queue one batch if storage allows.
- No destination and limited storage: leave the workshop idle until a useful request appears.
Filling Farm Orders quickly and safely
Speed comes from preparation, not from spending premium currency on every request. Read the whole board, then rank requests by the work they require and the value of completing them with your existing stock.

| Order type | When to prioritize it | When to defer it |
|---|---|---|
| Ready in storage | You can deliver immediately and free space. | Rarely defer unless another request has a time-sensitive objective. |
| One workshop job away | The workshop is free and all inputs are available. | Defer if the job would block a more valuable request or overflow storage. |
| Several crops away | The crops are quick to grow and the field limit permits them. | Defer when the order would consume plots needed for a more useful chain. |
| Dependent on scarce or unknown inputs | Only when it unlocks a meaningful progression or capacity improvement. | Do not force it with premium resources merely to clear the board. |
Use “finish, then refill” as your rhythm
- Choose the order that offers the best immediate use of what you already have.
- Deliver it before collecting unnecessary additional stock.
- Use the freed storage to harvest or craft the next required item.
- Recheck the board after each delivery so your next planting reflects the current requests.
This rhythm is especially useful when an order reward or delivery frees enough room to collect a crop that was waiting on the field.

When an order appears inefficient
You do not have to treat every request as mandatory. If an order consumes a rare input, occupies a workshop for a long period, and gives no obvious progression benefit, preserve the input for a better request. The board is a set of options; your production plan should select the requests that fit your present capacity.
Storage and the Crop Silo
Storage determines how much of your production chain can exist at once. Crops are field inputs, workshop goods are processed outputs, and the Crop Silo limits what you can hold. The official support hub has a dedicated Crop Silo section, so check the current in-game value and rules instead of copying a capacity table from an older guide.
Prevent a full-storage harvest
- Look at storage before starting a workshop job.
- Finish or sell a relevant order before harvesting more of the same item.
- Keep only a small reserve of items that have a clear workshop or order destination.
- Do not queue a finished product if there is no room to receive it.
What to do when storage is full
- Check whether a completed Farm Order can be delivered immediately.
- If a stored item matches an order, complete that order before collecting more.
- If no order is ready, identify the largest stack with no near-term use and avoid producing more of it.
- Harvest or craft only after the delivery or sale has created enough room.
If the game still reports full storage after a delivery, re-open the storage or Crop Silo panel and verify which category is full. A field harvest and a workshop output may use different capacity rules in a particular build.

Premium resources are optional accelerators, not a substitute for a production plan. The safest default is to keep them until spending produces a durable benefit or prevents a meaningful loss.
Good reasons to spend
- Capacity bottleneck: an upgrade lets you hold enough input or output to complete several useful orders.
- Production-chain unlock: the purchase opens a workshop or capability you can use repeatedly.
- Time-sensitive objective: an event or objective has a deadline and the spend is the difference between completion and failure.
- Recovery from an unavoidable block: a small acceleration prevents a workshop or order from stalling when you have no practical alternative.
Reasons to keep your premium currency
- The order is low value and can be completed naturally with one normal production cycle.
- You are spending only to clear a request that has no capacity, progression, or deadline benefit.
- The purchase would leave you unable to fund a known storage or production upgrade.
- You have not checked whether the needed input can be grown or crafted normally.
A three-question spending check
- Will this purchase remove a recurring bottleneck, or only save a few minutes once?
- Does it create enough capacity or production to complete more valuable future orders?
- Would waiting for the normal crop or workshop cycle leave me with a real penalty?
If the answer to all three is no, keep the resource. Zynga’s official store notes that offer availability and pricing vary by region, so treat any store deal as a current, regional offer rather than a permanent price or reward.
Co-ops, Farm Adventures, and events
Farm Co-ops and Farm Adventures add ways to collect rare goods, while the support hub also lists Events as a separate system. These features are live-service content: objectives, rewards, availability, and rules can change after updates.

Use the current panel as the authority
Before committing scarce crops or premium resources to an event, read the objective in the current in-game panel. Confirm the required item, deadline, and reward. A strategy that was correct for a previous event may not apply to the next one.
Protect your main production chain
Temporary objectives should not consume every input needed for normal Farm Orders. Reserve enough field and workshop capacity to keep ordinary orders moving, then use surplus production for the event. If an event requires a rare good, decide in advance how much of that good you can spare without blocking a capacity upgrade or essential order.
A practical first-session routine
Use this checklist when starting a new session or returning after a break:
- Open Farm Orders and note the requests you can complete with current stock.
- Deliver the easiest useful order to create storage room.
- Check workshops for an idle queue and identify the next product with a clear destination.
- Open the General Store and plant the crops needed for that product or the next active order.
- Water the plots and confirm the field count has not reached the documented per-type limit.
- Review Crop Silo capacity before harvesting anything that will finish while you are away.
- Check Co-op, Farm Adventure, or event objectives only after your regular production plan is stable.
- Spend premium resources only if the purchase passes the three-question spending check.
Troubleshooting common beginner problems
“I planted crops, but I still cannot fill the order.”
The request may require a workshop product rather than the raw crop. Read the order output carefully, identify the workshop that makes it, and check every required input before planting more.
“My workshop is idle even though I harvested something.”
The harvested item may not be the input for that workshop, or the finished product may have no available storage space. Check the workshop’s input list and the Crop Silo before queuing another job.

“I cannot harvest a finished crop.”
Storage may be full, or the game may be enforcing the current field or crop limit. Complete a relevant order first, then check the Crop Silo and the number of similar land crops already placed.

“I keep running out of storage.”
Stop planting general stock. Deliver or sell a relevant order, then switch to the smallest production batch that supports a live request. A full inventory is usually a planning signal, not a reason to spend premium currency immediately.
“Should I accept every order?”
No. Select requests that use available inputs, fit your workshop queue, and provide a useful reward. Defer orders that consume scarce materials without advancing capacity, production, or a time-limited objective.
Keeping the guide accurate after updates
Country Escape’s support hub includes Game Guides, Crop Silo, Farm Co-op, and Events sections. Use those current pages and the in-game panels when a major patch changes a timer, payout, storage value, crop limit, event rule, or unlock requirement. Exact figures are version-sensitive; the production principles in this guide remain useful, but a number displayed in an older guide may not match your build.

Key principles to remember
- Farm Orders should determine most of what you plant and craft.
- The General Store is the documented starting point for planting land crops.
- Workshops convert farm-grown goods into products that can be sold at the Farm Orders board.
- Field limits and Crop Silo capacity determine how much stock you can safely hold.
- Co-ops, Farm Adventures, and events are changing systems; verify their current objectives.
- Regional store offers are temporary and variable, so do not plan around an old price or reward.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do if no current order matches what I have in storage?
Pause new production, inspect each workshop for a product that uses the stored input, and plant only the crop needed for the most practical next request. This keeps capacity available while the board changes.
How can I plan a session when I will be offline?
Start crops or workshop jobs whose completion time fits your absence, and leave enough Crop Silo space for the finished items. Recheck the board when you return before harvesting additional general stock.
Where can I verify a crop limit or storage rule?
Check the current in-game panels and Zynga Support’s Game Guides and Crop Silo sections. These rules can change with updates, so an older guide may be outdated.
Is a regional store offer a permanent price?
No. Zynga states that offer availability and pricing vary by region. Treat the displayed offer as temporary and specific to your account and location.
