As of October 3, 2026, Samsung has not confirmed an Exynos 2700 phone or retail chip. The available Geekbench result is for an engineering reference device and reports an OpenCL compute score—not a finished phone’s CPU performance. That is not enough evidence to judge real-world performance or upgrade value.
Has Samsung officially announced Exynos 2700?
Samsung’s official Exynos mobile processor lineup lists Exynos 2600 among its latest processors, not Exynos 2700. Samsung’s 2026 Q1 interim report discusses Exynos 2600 but does not establish an Exynos 2700 product.
The Exynos 2700 name has appeared in secondary coverage as an inference from a benchmark associated with an engineering reference device. That is not official confirmation of the chip’s name, final specifications, or release.
Are Exynos 2700 benchmarks reliable?
What the reported Geekbench result actually measures
iTechGuides reports that an Android Geekbench 6.2.2 Compute/OpenCL result uploaded January 27, 2026, was listed for “Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. Full Android on S5E9975 ERD.” The reported score is 15,618, and the engineering configuration is described as 10-core. The listing identifies an engineering reference device, not a named retail phone, and the Exynos 2700 attribution is not confirmed.

OpenCL is a compute/GPU test. The score is not a Geekbench CPU single-core or multi-core result, and it does not show how a retail phone performs during sustained use. Treat it as a result reported for that test and platform, not as a verified Exynos 2700 performance figure. iTechGuides’ report gives the underlying context.
What a benchmark can—and cannot—tell you
A benchmark captures performance under a particular test, software version, and device configuration. For an upgrade decision, compare the same benchmark and version on identified retail phones, look for repeatable results, and check sustained performance alongside heat and battery life. GPU or compute results should not be presented as CPU results; none of these scores alone establishes camera quality, modem behavior, or the experience of using the complete phone.

- Please note, this device does not support E-SIM; This 4G model is compatible with all GSM networks worldwide outside of the U.S. In the US, ONLY compatible with T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro and Standup). It will NOT work with other CDMA carriers, and it is also not compatible with their MVNO (Visible, Xfinity Mobile, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, etc).
- Compatibility with certain third-party devices and accessibility accessories, including some hearing aids, may vary depending on manufacturer support, Bluetooth protocols, software compatibility, and regional firmware limitations. For additional hearing aid compatibility information, please refer to Samsung’s official support documentation.

Geekbench warns that devices excluded from its Android benchmark chart may run in an artificial benchmark mode that other apps do not use, producing results that “do not correspond to real-world performance.” See the Geekbench Android Benchmarks chart for its explanation.
How to treat claims about competing chips
An August 2026 Android Central report repeated claims attributed to Yonhap and industry sources that early Exynos 2700 tests beat unreleased Qualcomm chips in some peak GPU, CPU, and AI comparisons. The reported passage does not provide a reproducible test protocol or a result from a finished retail phone. Those claims are rumor, not established comparative performance.

Which phones will use Exynos 2700?
No reviewed official source names a confirmed retail phone or launch market for Exynos 2700. Samsung’s Exynos smartphone showcase says, “The availability of Exynos equipped devices may vary depending on the country and/or the wireless carrier.” That is a general regional-availability caveat, not confirmation that a particular model will use Exynos 2700. Check the chipset in the exact country- and carrier-specific phone variant rather than assuming all versions match. Samsung’s Exynos smartphone showcase provides the caveat.
When will an Exynos 2700 phone be available?
The sources reviewed do not establish a release date, confirmed phone, or market for an Exynos 2700 device. Until Samsung names a retail product and specifies where it will be sold, a launch timeline would be speculation.

Is upgrading to an Exynos 2700 phone worth it?
There is not enough confirmed information to determine whether an Exynos 2700 phone would be good value. The retail phone, its price, release date, regional availability, and measured performance remain unconfirmed in the sources cited here.
Samsung’s published performance figures are for Exynos 2600 versus Exynos 2500—not Exynos 2700. In its 2026 Q1 interim report, Samsung claims Exynos 2600 has 39% higher CPU performance, 50% improved GPU ray tracing, and 113% higher NPU AI performance compared with Exynos 2500. The report also says Exynos 2600 integrates a Heat Path Block to enhance thermal performance. These are Samsung’s claims about Exynos 2600, not independent measurements or promises about a later chip. Read Samsung’s 2026 Q1 interim report.
