The game behind the “Red Dead Redemption meets Blade Runner” description is most likely ExeKiller, a first-person action-adventure about a bounty hunter in a retro-futuristic, post-apocalyptic world. The comparison is about its western character and sci-fi atmosphere—not an official crossover or a claim that it plays like either franchise. As of October 3, 2026, the January 2026 reports reviewed here do not confirm whether the game has launched.
What is ExeKiller?
ExeKiller is described in January 2026 coverage as a cyberpunk western starring Denzel Fenix, a bounty hunter. VGTimes characterizes it as a retro-futuristic first-person action game with western elements, while PCGamesN calls it a survival action game. Both accounts describe a mix of frontier imagery and science-fiction dystopia. VGTimes’ January 9 report and PCGamesN’s January 12 report are coverage of a gameplay trailer, not hands-on reviews.

What the Red Dead Redemption and Blade Runner comparisons mean
The western side
The western comparison comes from the bounty-hunter premise and imagery such as revolvers, deserts, and canyons. VGTimes also describes missions in which players may use stealth, negotiate, or confront enemies directly. These are reported features, not a guarantee of the final game’s complete mission system.
The science-fiction side
PCGamesN points to Blade Runner-like visual cues and a cyberpunk atmosphere. VGTimes describes an alternate 1998, twenty years after a catastrophe called the Great Fire, with settings ranging from canyons and deserts to irradiated wasteland. It also reports a corporate dystopia involving Helion and S.O.U.L.S, biochips said to contain their owners’ information. Those setting details come from coverage of the game and should be read as reported worldbuilding rather than independently verified or necessarily final lore.

The comparison does not mean Rockstar or the Blade Runner rights holders are involved. PCGamesN explicitly frames its gameplay comparison differently: it says the play sounds more reminiscent of Cyberpunk 2077 or Dishonored than Rockstar’s crime series. The headline-style “meets” phrase is best understood as shorthand for genre and mood.
What gameplay has been described?
PCGamesN reports exploration, survival-focused play, hacking, gunplay, non-linear missions, and cybernetic upgrades. The developers, Kasia Widmańska and Amadeusz Wróbel, are quoted from the gameplay trailer describing it as “a first-person action-adventure game that encourages exploration, rewards curiosity, and never holds your hand.” VGTimes additionally reports weapon modifications, upgrades, dynamic weather, and radioactive solar storms. These descriptions reflect announced or reported plans; they are not independently confirmed hands-on findings.

Taken together, the reported concept is a first-person adventure that combines exploration and action with mission choices, rather than a straight open-world western. The available reports do not establish how expansive those systems will be or how they work in practice.
Has ExeKiller been released, and what platforms were planned?
On January 9, 2026, VGTimes reported a planned Q1 2026 release for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Three days later, PCGamesN described a future Steam release. These were plans reported in January, not confirmation of a launch. The reviewed sources do not establish the game’s release status as of October 3, 2026, nor its current store listings, price, or physical-edition availability.

Is it the same game as No Law?
No. No Law is a separate game: Neon Giant described it in a December 11, 2025 Xbox Wire feature as a new cyberpunk first-person shooter in development, set in Port Desire, with release details still to come at that time. The feature discusses stealth or loud approaches and reactive enemies and environments, but does not identify it as the bounty-hunter western described in coverage of ExeKiller.
