Choose ElevenLabs for voice-focused work; choose Suno when the main job is creating and editing songs. ElevenLabs now also offers Eleven Music for generating complete tracks, so the choice is not simply “voice versus music.” Compare the workflow, usage limits and commercial-use terms for the exact product and plan you intend to use. There is no independent head-to-head evidence here to establish which service sounds better.

What each service is built to do

ElevenLabs is centered on AI voice generation, with Eleven Music as a separate music-creation offering. Suno is centered on making songs and provides tools for shaping and editing music. If your project needs both spoken audio and original music, ElevenLabs’ broader product range may be convenient; that does not mean its music workflow is identical to Suno’s.

ElevenLabs: voice generation plus Eleven Music

ElevenLabs describes Eleven Music as generating full tracks from natural-language prompts. Its feature list includes controls for genre, mood, style, structure and instrumentation; vocals and lyrics in multiple languages; short uploaded audio references; editing sections and lyrics in the interface; and MP3 exports. The company says Eleven Music is available on its website, with API access for paid subscribers. These are vendor-described features, not independent findings about output quality. Suno: song creation and editing

Suno’s plans bundle song-generation credits and downloads with features that vary by tier. The pricing page lists model options, stem separation, uploads, adding vocals or instrumentals, custom models and editing. Premier also includes Suno Studio, which Suno describes as offering MIDI, effects, automation and design-your-own plugins. Suno pricing

ElevenLabs vs. Suno at a glance

Comparison ElevenLabs Suno
Best fit Voice-generation-centered work; also offers music generation through Eleven Music. Song creation and music editing.
Music workflow Eleven Music supports prompt-based full tracks, musical controls, vocals and lyrics, audio references, editing and MP3 export, according to ElevenLabs. Usage accounting One shared credit pool across products; ElevenLabs lists about 900 credits per minute for Eleven Music. The amount is approximate and usage depends on product and plan. Monthly plan credits and plan-specific song-download allowances. Subscription credits do not roll over; purchased top-up credits do not expire but require an active subscription to use.
Commercial-use terms General free-plan publication is non-commercial and requires attribution. Music-specific terms distinguish self-serve from Enterprise use and list exceptions. Free/basic output is limited to lawful personal, non-commercial use. Paid-plan commercial use is subject to terms, including approved-download conditions.
Does the evidence establish better sound? No. The available information is primarily official product and pricing descriptions, not an independent comparative audio test.

Feature descriptions and plan terms can change. The table reflects official pages checked on October 3, 2026; check the linked pages and applicable terms before subscribing or publishing work.

How the plans account for usage

ElevenLabs uses shared credits

On the ElevenLabs pricing page checked October 3, 2026, listed monthly plans were Free at $0 with 10,000 credits; Starter at $6 with 30,000; Creator at $22 with 121,000; Pro at $99 with 600,000; Scale at $299 with 1,800,000 and three seats; and Business at $990 with 6,000,000 and ten seats. Enterprise pricing was custom. ElevenLabs says credits are shared across its products and estimates Eleven Music at about 900 credits per minute. That estimate is not a direct conversion into Suno songs, and actual credit use depends on product and plan. Prices and allowances are vendor listings, not guaranteed offers. ElevenLabs pricing

Suno lists credits and download allowances by tier

On Suno’s pricing page checked October 3, 2026, Pro was listed at $8 per month with 2,500 credits and 20 song downloads per month; Premier was listed at $24 per month with 10,000 credits and 60 song downloads per month. Premier includes Suno Studio. The page also says annual billing saves 20%. Treat these as the page’s observed prices and allowances, not a promise about the amount shown in every region or at checkout; confirm currency, billing cadence and current offers before paying. These systems measure use differently: ElevenLabs draws on credits shared across its products, while Suno’s plans specify monthly song credits and download limits. A credit in one service is not comparable to a credit in the other. For a project with many revisions or tracks, check the current allowance for the exact plan and estimate use from your own workflow rather than comparing the headline credit totals.

Can you publish or monetize what you create?

Commercial permission, copyright ownership and clearance for a particular distribution channel are separate questions. A plan label alone does not answer all three. Read the terms that apply to the particular product, plan, generation and intended use.

ElevenLabs and Eleven Music

ElevenLabs’ general publishing guidance says the free plan does not include a commercial license. It says paid plans include one subject to conditions, applicable law, the intellectual-property rights you need, and service-specific terms. Free-plan publication requires attribution; for Eleven Music, the help page specifies crediting “Eleven Music” when distributing. ElevenLabs Help Center: Can I publish the content I generate on the platform?

Eleven Music’s product page adds a specific limitation: self-serve plans allow online and offline commercial use except for film, TV and Studio Games; Enterprise plans permit all online and offline commercial use. Follow the music-specific terms rather than assuming that the general paid-plan statement covers every Eleven Music use. Eleven Music terms and product details

Suno and approved downloads

Suno’s terms limit free/basic output to lawful personal, non-commercial use. For qualifying output from paid Pro or Premier accounts, Suno assigns its rights in the output subject to the terms. Its terms also say that commercial exploitation is limited to output downloaded through an approved channel under the applicable tier, with download allocations and other conditions applying. Suno’s help center says songs made while subscribed to Pro or Premier receive commercial-use rights; upgrading later does not automatically grant retroactive commercial-use licensing to songs made on the free plan. Permission to use an output commercially is not a guarantee that it is copyrighted, exclusive or cleared for every third-party platform. Suno’s terms expressly disclaim a representation or warranty that copyright will vest in any output. Check the terms in force for your account and generation, use an approved download route where required, and review the rules of the platform where you plan to publish.

Which one should you choose?

  • Choose ElevenLabs if spoken voice is central and you want a voice-generation-centered platform that also offers a music product.
  • Choose Suno if the core deliverable is a song and its listed creation or editing workflow matches what you need.
  • Compare the exact workflow before committing if you need both voice and music, detailed song editing, references, stems or API access. Product breadth alone does not establish which tool will suit a particular production.
  • Check terms before monetizing if the work will be used commercially, especially for film, television, games or distribution that depends on an approved download.
  • Listen to representative outputs yourself if audio quality is the deciding factor. Available feature pages do not establish which service produces better voices or songs.
