What does the eero Max 7 two-pack offer?
The Max 7 is a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh router supporting 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz bands. eero lists four multi-gig Ethernet ports per unit: two 10 Gigabit ports and two 2.5 Gigabit ports. Its published maximums are up to 4.3 Gbps wireless and 9.4 Gbps wired. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results or speeds guaranteed in a home. eero Max 7 specifications and support
#1 Best Overall
- THE SPEED OF EERO MAX 7 - With two 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports, you can enjoy wired speeds up to 9.4 Gbps, wireless speeds up to 4.3 Gbps, and multi-gigabit backhaul speeds—making your network seriously fast.
- THE POWER OF WI-FI 7 TECHNOLOGY - Wi-Fi 7 technology can provide more than twice the speed of Wi-Fi 6, so you can enjoy greater capacity, less latency, and more efficiency on your network.
- OUR SOFTWARE MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE - Our patented TrueMesh software, combined with TrueRoam and TrueChannel, proactively keeps you connected to the optimal and most reliable wifi connection possible.
- LEVEL UP YOUR GAME - eero Max 7 helps deliver high performance gaming experiences, ideal for AR, VR, and cloud applications that require high throughput and low latency.
- ADVANCED DIGITAL SECURITY - An optional subscription to eero Plus protects your data, helping to keep your family’s personal information, connected devices, and network protected from online threats.
eero also says a single Max 7 unit can cover up to 2,500 square feet and connect more than 250 devices. Those are manufacturer estimates; actual coverage and capacity depend on building materials, layout, node placement, interference, connected devices, and other network conditions. A two-pack may help address dead zones, but it does not guarantee coverage of a particular floor plan.
Will it make your internet faster?
Not beyond the limits of your internet service. A router cannot raise the speed supplied by your plan, and the published wireless and wired maximums should not be read as expected everyday device speeds. Wi-Fi 7’s benefits also depend on compatible client devices and network conditions. The cited product specifications do not establish independent benchmark performance for this system.

Before paying a premium, consider whether you have compatible Wi-Fi 7 devices, a fast enough internet plan to make the upgrade useful, and wired multi-gig equipment that can use the Ethernet ports. If your current setup already meets your needs, the advertised top figures alone are not a reason to upgrade.

How to decide whether the two-pack is worth it
- Check the floor plan: Identify where coverage fails and whether two mesh units can be placed sensibly between the router location and the dead zones.
- Match it to your wired gear: The multi-gig ports are most relevant if you have devices or network equipment with compatible 2.5- or 10-gigabit Ethernet connections.
- Compare the alternatives: eero publishes a comparison of its product lineup; weigh other mesh options against your home’s coverage needs and internet speed rather than buying on maximum specifications alone. eero product comparison
- Verify the offer: At checkout, confirm the listing is for the two-pack and review its current price, seller, stock, and any Prime requirement.
