Two trackers list one challenge requiring 90,000 score and a minimum item rating of 45; player positions and chemistry do not matter. There is no universally cheapest item combination, so use eligible untradeable duplicates first and check each item’s score contribution against its current cost before buying anything.
What you get from the Malen POTM SBC
The reward is listed by FCData as an 85-rated Donyell Malen item, with 87 pace, 85 shooting, 75 passing, 86 dribbling, 39 defending and 70 physical. These attributes are tracker-listed rather than confirmed here against an official EA card page. FCData
Malen won the award for the 2026/27 season’s first five matchdays. Lega Serie A says he scored six goals in five matches and that the selection combined online fan votes with individual statistical data. Lega Serie A’s announcement
Requirements and how the score-based SBC works
FUT.GG and FUT Mind each list a single challenge with a 90,000-point target and a minimum item rating of 45. FUT Mind also states that positions and chemistry do not matter. These are tracker-reported challenge details, so check the SBC screen in-game before submitting. FUT.GG FUT Mind

EA’s Streamlined SBC format lets eligible club items contribute toward a score target instead of requiring a complete squad with a prescribed formation. Score depends on item rating and rarity. EA says you can submit progress over multiple attempts, and duplicate versions can count. EA’s FC 27 information
- Target: 90,000 score, as listed by FUT.GG and FUT Mind.
- Minimum item rating: 45, as listed by both trackers.
- Positions and chemistry: not required, according to FUT Mind.
- Submission: progress can be made over multiple attempts under EA’s Streamlined SBC design.
Best way to complete it without overspending
The best solution depends on the items already in your club and the current market. A public combination is not automatically the cheapest for you: the score an item adds must be weighed against what it costs to buy, and your untradeable fodder may reduce the number of purchases needed.

- Check your club first. Review eligible untradeable items and duplicates that meet the 45 minimum rating. Keep in mind that submitting an item consumes it.
- Plan toward 90,000. Use the in-game score display or a current SBC calculator to estimate contributions. Item rating and rarity affect score, so do not assume equal-rated items contribute identically.
- Compare before purchasing. Check current market prices and compare the cost of an item with the score it adds. Prices move, so an example solution can become poor value.
- Submit in stages if useful. EA’s format allows progress over multiple attempts. Recheck the remaining score after each submission rather than buying a full set of items in advance.
- Verify before the final submission. Confirm the score, minimum rating and remaining time on the in-game SBC screen.
For context only, an Italian guide gives several changing examples: 46 items rated 84, 13 rated 85 and six rated 86 at about 83,900 coins; a mix of one 87, fourteen 86s, eleven 85s and five 84s at about 87,750; and six 87s plus fourteen 86s near 92,000. Those combinations and prices are reported estimates, not tested recipes or guaranteed cheapest solutions. Italian guide
At the time FUT.GG was checked for this guide, its estimate was 88,620 coins. Treat that as a market snapshot, not a fixed SBC price; your club inventory and the market can make your actual outlay lower or higher. FUT.GG

When does the Malen SBC expire?
Trackers agree on 29 October 2026 but disagree on the cutoff time: FCData lists 13:00, while FUT Mind lists 14:00 UTC. Because the reported hour conflicts, rely on the live countdown shown in-game for the definitive deadline. FCData FUT Mind
