For Dreaming City gear, start with the current reward preview on the activity you plan to run: Bungie’s available guidance confirms that The Shattered Throne offers dungeon-specific gear and that destination activities such as Blind Well use tiered rewards, but it does not publish a current, item-by-item Dreaming City drop table. For destination currency, Bungie identifies Dark Fragments as the only destination currency that remains and directs players to Petra Venj.
Choose a route by the reward you want
The Dreaming City has different reward systems rather than one confirmed, universal loot pool. Decide whether you are looking for dungeon gear, rewards from a destination activity, or a use for Dark Fragments. Then check that activity’s reward display in the live game before you commit to a farm.

Where to look for Dreaming City weapons and armor
The Shattered Throne: dungeon-specific gear
The Shattered Throne is the clearest supported route when your goal is gear tied to a dungeon. Bungie lists it among available dungeons and says dungeon rewards are unique to each dungeon. That confirms the reward category, not the names of the Dreaming City weapons or armor, or which encounter awards an item. Use the activity’s current reward display rather than treating an older loot list as a verified current drop table. Bungie’s Activities guide
Blind Well and other destination activities: check the reward tier
Blind Well is an example of a destination activity with tiered rewards. Bungie’s general guidance also distinguishes public-event rewards from heroic-completion rewards, but does not name the Dreaming City items in those pools. Check the reward information shown for the activity in your game; the tier alone does not establish which specific weapon or armor piece will drop. Bungie’s Activities guide

Find the activity in the current Director
Destiny 2’s activity navigation is organized across the Portal and World destination areas. Bungie describes the Portal as a hub for activities and missions launched with The Edge of Fate expansion in 2025, while the World tab covers content through The Final Shape. Navigate to the Dreaming City activity you want and read its current reward display; do not assume older Director instructions or menu paths still match the game. Bungie: Activities
Dark Fragments, Petra, and obsolete destination materials
Petra Venj is the Dreaming City vendor Bungie connects to Dark Fragments. Bungie’s inventory guide calls Dark Fragments the only destination currency that remains and says to use them with Petra. Her location in the Dreaming City is also identified in Bungie’s guide for new and returning players. Check Petra’s live inventory for the current spending options. Do not farm Baryon Boughs or other legacy destination materials as though they were current progression resources. Bungie’s Year 8 notice says destination materials lost value starting July 15, 2025, and that destination materials held in inventory would no longer have value. If the live game shows a remaining use for an item, follow that current in-game information rather than an old farming guide. Bungie: Year 8 Information
How to verify a farm before investing time
- Open the current Director. Look in the Portal or World destination areas for the relevant content; Bungie says those areas cover different parts of the game’s activity catalog. Bungie: Activities
- Select the Dreaming City activity. Choose The Shattered Throne for dungeon-specific gear, or a destination activity such as Blind Well if its currently displayed reward tier fits your goal.
- Read the reward preview. Confirm the named rewards and any requirements the game displays. The current official guides do not provide a complete Dreaming City item table or encounter-by-encounter Shattered Throne assignment.
- For currency, check Petra. If your goal is to spend Dark Fragments, visit Petra and inspect her current options rather than relying on a historical vendor list. Bungie: Items and Inventory
What current guidance does not establish
- A complete current list of Dreaming City weapons and armor, or their activity-specific drop sources.
- Which Shattered Throne encounter awards a particular item.
- Exact drop chances, repeat-farm behavior, weekly lockouts, or a specific Petra bounty reward.
Bungie’s current general activity and inventory guides establish the reward systems and currency guidance, not those item-level details. Treat any specific loot claim as unconfirmed unless it appears in the current in-game reward display.
