Dated 27 October 2026, the update is a broad maintenance patch rather than a content expansion: it corrects vocation inputs, pawn behavior, quest progression, controls, NPC interactions, visual glitches and handheld sleep-mode problems. Is Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen update 4.1 live on Switch 2?
Yes. Title Update 4.1 is available on Nintendo Switch 2 as of 27 October 2026. Capcom describes it as an update addressing several known issues. - Warrior: Pressing cancel during Goring Lunge now cancels correctly instead of starting a follow-up attack motion.
- Magick Archer: The lock-on feature has been corrected.

Enemy behavior
- Skeleton eyes now glow as intended.
- Players can break free after being grabbed by a chimera.
Pawn behavior
- Fixed cases in which enemies could blow pawns into the air.
- Corrected unnatural pawn eyeball direction.
- Reduced how often pawns fall from cliffs.
- Pawns now resume exploring correctly after receiving the Explore command instead of standing still.

NPC and location issues
- Hal’s Tailor Equipment interaction is no longer blocked by unrelated quest conversations.
- Unhired pawns and NPCs no longer repeatedly move back and forth in certain locations.
- Norgan NPCs now appear in the mortuary after death as intended.
Controls, interface and save data
- Clearing Dash 2 no longer corrupts Button Mapping text or the controller image.
- Clearing Reset Camera, Weapon Skill 5 or Weapon Skill 6 no longer unexpectedly resets controls after a restart.
- Warfarer equipment taken from Storage now handles the previously equipped weapon correctly.
- Times Fallen data no longer carries into a different save slot.
- The “Equip?” message no longer appears incorrectly when receiving rift crystals or gold after appraisal-equipment actions.
- Typing the less-than sign (
<) no longer makes text disappear or prevent the cursor from moving correctly.
Tutorial and quest progression
- The “Restarting Game with Data Carried Over” tutorial now displays reliably.
- Tutorial text now appears when storage exceeds 2,500 items.

Did update 4.1 add new content?
No new story chapter, class, region or other content addition is listed in the Switch 2 version 4.1 notes. The update’s purpose is corrective: it makes existing combat, pawn, quest, interface and handheld systems behave more consistently.
That distinction matters because Dark Arisen itself is the larger release associated with the 9 October 2026 launch. Update 4.1 should be treated as a post-launch maintenance update to that game, not as a separately announced expansion.

Does the patch apply to every version of Dark Arisen?
The 4.1 notes in this announcement are specifically for Nintendo Switch 2. Dark Arisen is also listed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, but this notice does not provide equivalent 4.1 change lists for those platforms. Does the patch change the maximum storage capacity?

Are pawn cliff falls completely removed?
