When a chapter carries the “Join to read” label, the relevant legal route is a Shonen Jump membership. VIZ describes the membership as opening a vault of more than 20,000 chapters across its manga catalog. Is Dragon Ball Super free on MANGA Plus?
Some access can be free, but MANGA Plus does not guarantee that every Dragon Ball Super chapter is free everywhere. The service’s official explanation is that licensing in your location can change content availability, and its free-access rules are title- and location-dependent.
