These are distinct from the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus color-themed wallpapers, which use pink, yellow, green, blue and black. Apple lists the Pro finishes and display specifications in its iPhone 15 Pro technical specifications.
Are the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max files different?
The wallpaper artwork is commonly presented as a shared Pro/Pro Max design, but a download page may provide one universal image, separate files or a larger master. Do not assume a separate Apple-authored file exists for each model unless the source identifies it.

What “4K wallpaper” means
Conventional 4K UHD means 3840 × 2160 pixels. Neither Pro display uses that 16:9 canvas. Wallpaper publishers often use “4K” or “4K/HD” to mean a sharp, high-resolution phone image, without documenting a 3840-pixel-wide file.

Use these checks instead of trusting the label:
- Open the original image or an explicit download link, not the article thumbnail.
- Inspect the saved file’s pixel dimensions.
- Prefer PNG or another minimally compressed format when the source offers it.
- Make sure the file is not a screenshot with a webpage frame, watermark or browser controls.
- Preserve the original aspect ratio; do not upscale a small preview and call it 4K.
For editorial targeting, 1179 × 2556 pixels suits the Pro canvas and 1290 × 2796 suits the Pro Max canvas in portrait orientation. Report the file’s measured dimensions separately if a download page supplies them. The terminology and dimension caveats are also discussed by MacMyths and TechYorker.
How to download a wallpaper on iPhone
- Open the download page in Safari.
- Tap the wallpaper preview or its full-resolution link.
- Wait for the image itself to open at full size.
- Touch and hold the image, then choose the available option to save it to Photos. If the site provides a file-download control, you can use that instead.
- Open Photos and confirm that you saved the original image rather than a screenshot or resized preview.
Menu wording differs by iOS version and by whether the destination is an image file, cloud-drive download or ZIP archive. If you receive a ZIP file, download it to Files, extract it, then save the chosen image to Photos.

How to set it as your wallpaper
- Open Settings.
- Tap Wallpaper.
- Tap Add New Wallpaper, then choose Photos.
- Select the saved titanium image and adjust its position or scale.
- Tap Add.
- Choose Set as Wallpaper Pair, or tap Customize Home Screen for a different Home Screen treatment.
You can also wake and unlock the phone, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap the add button and select the saved image. Apple’s current instructions are in its iPhone User Guide; labels can vary slightly between iOS releases.
Using the images on other devices
The files are not restricted to an iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max. Transfer them to an older iPhone, iPad, Android phone, tablet or desktop. Different aspect ratios, camera cutouts and orientations can change the framing: a Pro Max image may crop on a smaller phone, while a smaller file may need scaling on a larger display. Keep important details away from the extreme edges.

Fix blurry, cropped or incorrectly sized wallpapers
The saved image is blurry
- Reopen the image itself in a new tab and use the source’s explicit download control.
- Check the file dimensions after saving.
- Avoid copies passed through social media or messaging services, which may recompress them.
- Try another clearly labeled, trustworthy source if the first file is smaller than advertised.
The Dynamic Island or top area crops the design
Lock Screen editing may crop or reposition an image to fit the interface. Pinch to zoom out where possible, reposition before tapping Add, or choose a version with extra vertical margin. Avoid placing the focal subject at the top center.

The image does not fill the screen
Check that you downloaded a portrait image rather than a landscape, square or desktop crop. Select a version closer to your phone’s aspect ratio, or crop it manually before applying it.
A download button opens an app or advertisement
That is a source-quality warning. A static wallpaper should not require installing a wallpaper app merely to obtain the image. Close the redirect and use a direct, clearly labeled file link instead.

Apple introduced the designs with the 2023 iPhone 15 Pro launch, but the download pages above are third-party hosts. Describe them as copies of Apple’s stock wallpaper designs unless the file’s provenance is independently clear. A rehosted copy, recolored edit, fan-made design or AI-generated image should not be presented as an Apple original. Other wallpaper options
If none of the titanium designs suits your layout, use the iPhone’s built-in wallpaper gallery, a personal photo, a reputable third-party collection or a custom titanium-inspired gradient. Those alternatives may have different licensing, dimensions and cropping behavior, so check the source before redistributing them.

Can I use an iPhone 15 Pro wallpaper on an Android phone?
Yes. Save the image and apply it through your Android phone’s wallpaper settings, but expect cropping or scaling differences caused by the phone’s aspect ratio and camera cutout.
Which dimensions should I choose for an iPhone 15 Pro Max?
Use a portrait image close to 1290 × 2796 pixels. That is the Pro Max display canvas documented by Apple; verify the downloaded file’s actual dimensions rather than assuming a publisher’s “4K” label is precise.
Why does my downloaded wallpaper look worse than the preview?
You probably saved a resized preview or a recompressed copy. Open the original image, use the explicit full-resolution link, and check its pixel dimensions before applying it.
