Does the iPhone 7 have a hidden headphone jack?
No. Apple’s iPhone 7 technical specifications list a Lightning connector and EarPods with Lightning Connector. They do not list a built-in 3.5 mm headphone jack. The viral “secret hack” video, which shows a drill being used on the speaker grille, does not reveal one. BetaNews writer Sofia Elizabella Wyciślik-Wilson put it plainly: “To reiterate — just in case there’s any doubt — the ‘tutorial’ does not work.”
Why you should not try the drill method
The video is a spoof, not a way to modify or repair the phone. Drilling into the iPhone 7 risks destroying it; there is no hidden jack to reach. Do not attempt the method.
How to use 3.5 mm headphones with an iPhone 7
Connect a Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter to the phone’s Lightning port, then plug your standard wired headphones into the adapter’s 3.5 mm socket. Apple says the adapter also connects other 3.5 mm audio devices to Lightning-equipped iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models. The iOS device must run iOS 10 or later.

The adapter routes audio through Lightning; it does not add a built-in headphone jack. If you want a wired option without an adapter, Apple lists EarPods with Lightning Connector for the iPhone 7.
