Yes. Nintendo says all 12 previously held events for the paid Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC will return, one per month, from October 2026 through September 2027. The October event is Chip Fever on DK Island, where score rewards include Enguarde and Kong Bananza statues.
How the monthly rotation works
Nintendo announced the return on October 1, 2026. These are the 12 existing limited-time events, not 12 newly announced challenges. Each event is available for one month, and the next begins on the first day of the following month at 00:00. Nintendo’s announcement gives an October 1 start time of 21:00 for Chip Fever, but does not specify the time zone, so that clock time should not be assumed to apply identically in every region. Nintendo’s October 1 announcement lists the rotation through September 2027; it does not confirm what happens after that.
2026–27 event schedule
The schedule below follows Nintendo’s Japanese announcement. Event names are shown in Japanese where no verified English localized name is available; translations are therefore not supplied as official titles.

For May, Nintendo’s Japanese schedule lists the two reward names as ティキトントン and ティキトング; the English spelling for the latter is not established in that announcement. Check the in-game News channel for localized names and spellings.

What happens in a returning Emerald Rush event?
Each event is a special Emerald Rush challenge on its listed stage. Nintendo says the ordinarily random elements are fixed for each event: the skills assigned to Banandium Gems, the Emerald Powers obtained from gems and fossils, and the order of Void Missions. Scores can unlock character figures that are exclusive to the event.
The original event-format announcement says each challenge also sets conditions such as the available Emerald Perks. Players choose from three displayed options, which stay the same on each run. Reaching target scores earns character statues and Banandium Chips; the chips can be exchanged for standard statues. Players may retry as often as they like while that event is active. Nintendo’s explanation of the event format was published October 20, 2025.

- Completion of the game’s main story before participating in the events.
Nintendo identifies Nintendo eShop on Switch 2 and Nintendo Store as DLC purchase channels. Its UK game and DLC page and Nintendo Support’s DLC listing provide product and availability details. Additional storage may be needed for a download, depending on the space available on your system; Nintendo points to compatible microSD Express cards as an option.
