Yes—Gyre’s surfaced plan information lists 4K streaming on Start+ and PRO+, with one and up to two simultaneous 4K streams respectively. But that confirms plan-level availability, not the precise 4K file settings Gyre accepts. Its available preparation guide covers HD and Full HD, not a 4K upload recipe, so confirm the current plan and file requirements with Gyre before preparing a large playlist.
Which Gyre plans list 4K streaming?
Gyre’s official plan listing identifies 4K on Start+ and PRO+: Start+ lists one 4K stream, while PRO+ lists up to two. A Gyre guide published in 2026 also says PRO+ supports up to two simultaneous continuous 4K streams, alongside up to eight continuous Full HD 60 fps streams. These are Gyre’s own plan statements; the plan page does not provide a publication date, and plan details can change. Check the current feature table and account terms at Gyre or Gyre’s plan listing before subscribing.
The available material establishes those 4K stream counts, but does not fully establish current pricing, storage limits, or every platform and destination-specific restriction for 4K. Confirm that your intended destination is supported on the plan you choose.
What does Gyre require for a 4K source file?
Gyre’s workflow uses prerecorded videos uploaded to Gyre storage. Its Help Center says files must be uploaded whether they are new recordings, previously published on a channel, or drawn from a playlist. The article, marked updated about a year before 2026, documents HD and Full HD preparation settings only: 1920×1080 or 1280×720 resolution, H.264 video, 3072–6144 kbps video bitrate, 128 kbps audio bitrate, and 30 fps. Those are not established 4K requirements. See Gyre’s video preparation guide.

The available sources do not settle Gyre’s accepted 4K input resolution, codec, frame rate, bitrate, or whether its converter supports every combination. Do not treat the HD/Full HD settings as a 4K recipe or assume that YouTube’s ingest recommendations are Gyre’s upload specifications. Before encoding a large playlist, ask Gyre support for its current 4K file and conversion requirements.
How YouTube’s 4K bitrate guidance fits in
YouTube’s live encoder documentation recommends H.264 video at 30 Mbps for 4K/2160p at 30 fps and 35 Mbps for 4K/2160p at 60 fps. These figures are YouTube’s live ingestion recommendations, not confirmed Gyre file requirements. YouTube says it transcodes live streams into formats for viewers, but that does not establish that Gyre accepts those exact source settings or preserves 4K in every plan. Refer to YouTube’s encoder settings guidance for its current recommendations.

What to verify before you commit to 4K
- Confirm the plan still lists the number of 4K streams you need and supports your intended destination.
- Ask Gyre for its current 4K upload and conversion specifications, including supported codec, frame rate, bitrate, and container.
- Check the applicable storage limit and whether your full playlist fits; the sources cited here do not establish current storage allowances.
- If possible, validate one representative file and confirm the resulting live stream reaches YouTube at the expected resolution before uploading a full library.
Or let it run in the cloud
