Don’t assume a Samsung TV supports Dolby Vision. The Samsung specifications and announcements cited here document HDR10+ and HLG on particular models, but they do not establish a complete, brand-wide Dolby Vision support policy. If Dolby Vision is a must-have, check the current specifications for the exact model and region before buying.
What Samsung’s published specifications show
Samsung’s US product page for the 65-inch S85F OLED (2025) lists HDR10+ (Adaptive/Gaming) and HLG in its video specifications. Those entries document the formats named for that specific model; they do not by themselves establish Dolby Vision support or prove a policy for every Samsung TV.
Format names matter: HDR10+ support does not mean Dolby Vision support. Check the exact model’s video specifications rather than inferring compatibility from the Samsung brand, OLED screen type, or another HDR label.

Disney+ and Hulu
In an announcement dated October 29, 2025, Samsung said Disney+ would provide access to more than 1,000 Hulu titles in HDR10+ within the Disney+ app, and identified Samsung Crystal UHD TVs and above from 2018 onward as eligible. The title count reflects the announcement at that time, not a current catalog total. Availability can depend on the TV model, service, title, and region; check current app and title details. Netflix
Samsung’s April 2025 announcement described Netflix HDR10+ support for 2025 Neo QLED, OLED, and Lifestyle TVs. It is a model-year and product-category statement, not evidence that every Samsung television—or every Netflix title and region—supports that format. Samsung’s announcement
Prime Video and HDR10+ Advanced
In an announcement dated August 4, 2026, Samsung said Prime Video would offer HDR10+ Advanced on supported titles globally beginning in August 2026, first on select 2026 Samsung TVs. “Select” matters: the announcement does not say every 2026 Samsung TV supports HDR10+ Advanced. Confirm model and title compatibility. Samsung’s announcement

Check compatibility before you buy
- Find the full model code and region. Use the product page or specification sheet for the exact television you plan to purchase; do not rely on a family name alone.
- Read the video-format section. Look specifically for Dolby Vision. Treat HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG as separate format entries, not substitutes that establish Dolby Vision compatibility.
- Check the viewing path. If you watch through a TV app or an external streaming device, verify that the specific model, device, service, title, and region provide the format you want.
- Confirm the audio feature separately. Dolby Atmos is an audio format, not Dolby Vision video. The S85F page, for example, lists a Dolby audio feature in its DTV sound-system specification while separately listing HDR10+ and HLG as video formats.
Keep video and audio formats separate
A listing for Dolby audio does not show that a TV supports Dolby Vision. Samsung’s S85F specification illustrates why it is worth checking the relevant section: its audio and video capabilities are listed separately. Match the feature to your need—Dolby Vision for video, Dolby Atmos for audio—and verify each one independently.
