MLB.com said rosters were due the morning of Game 1.
Is Kyle Harrison on the Brewers’ NLDS roster?
The latest cited report puts Harrison in the projected pitching group, not a confirmed final roster. MLB.com’s October 3 postseason FAQ lists the left-hander as a possible option and notes questions about his velocity drop and recent struggles. The FAQ says Game 1 against the Padres is at American Family Field on Saturday, October 3, and that rosters are due that morning.
That distinction matters: a projected roster reflects an informed expectation, while the submitted roster is the official decision. Sports Illustrated reported on September 30 that Milwaukee had not announced its roster yet. Its account quoted manager Pat Murphy saying Harrison could “definitely grab a spot,” but that was not an announcement that he had secured one.
Why is Harrison projected to make it?
The case for Harrison rests on his full-season results and his value as a left-handed pitching option. Murphy told Sports Illustrated, “You look at his total body of work, it’s really good.” He also said, “I think he could definitely grab a spot here.” The comments were attributed to a clip shared by Fox Sports 920’s Hunter Baumgardt on September 29.

Harrison’s 2026 regular-season line, as listed by MiLB.com, was 10-4 with a 3.98 ERA, 110.2 innings, 134 strikeouts and a 1.31 WHIP. Those figures give context to Murphy’s positive assessment, but they do not establish why the Brewers would select him over every alternative.
What raises questions about his recent form?
MiLB.com lists Harrison with a 7.00 ERA over his last seven games, spanning 27 innings, with 42 hits allowed and 33 strikeouts. MLB.com also flagged a velocity drop and recent struggles in its projection. Those concerns sit alongside, rather than erase, his stronger season-long record.

The recent seven-game line is a separate snapshot from the season totals. MiLB.com’s final three game-log entries show difficult outings, but those entries do not cover a later September 26 appearance; they should not be treated as a complete account of his most recent start.
