No documented evidence shows that Boostworks became ActivNetworks. The names point to two different businesses: People Value Limited adopted the name Boostworks Limited in 2023 for employee rewards and wellbeing services, while ActivNetworks was a French network-acceleration software company associated with the BoostEdge product.
Did Boostworks become ActivNetworks?
The available company and product records do not establish a merger, acquisition, rename or shared ownership between the two businesses. The phrasing “BoostWorks becomes ActivNetworks” appears to conflate separate companies, rather than describe a confirmed corporate change.
The spelling also differs in the documented company name: the UK business is styled Boostworks. That distinction helps separate it from ActivNetworks and the historically associated BoostEdge product.
What happened to Boostworks?
People Value Limited announced on 12 September 2023 that it had become Boostworks Limited. The company described its work as personalized employee benefits and rewards, recognition, and wellbeing support. B4 Business reported that announcement on 13 September 2023. The reported reach of an average of 2.1 million people in the UK was a company-reported figure, not an independently verified measurement. B4 Business: People Value becomes Boostworks

What was ActivNetworks?
ActivNetworks was documented as a French software company created in 2004, specializing in accelerating and optimizing Internet traffic. Its materials describe a different market from Boostworks: enterprise IT and telecom users rather than employers seeking workforce benefits. What was BoostEdge?
BoostEdge was ActivNetworks’ enterprise network and application acceleration product. A company product page described it as a network appliance for transparently accelerating WAN business applications and web content. The stated goals included faster response times, lower bandwidth use and web-application security. ActivNetworks product page: BoostEdge

The ActivNetworks release reproduced by Developpez.net characterized BoostEdge as an application that accelerated response times, saved bandwidth and secured web applications. It also described a transparent “Plug’n Activ” deployment approach. These are historical vendor descriptions, not independent performance-test results.
The product page said its image optimization could reduce data volume from one-half to one-tenth while largely preserving visual appearance. That is a product claim from ActivNetworks; the cited page does not establish test conditions or a generally achievable result for every deployment.

What the historical records can—and cannot—confirm
ActivNetworks’ 2010 release reported 40 person-years of research and development, reinvestment of 27% of revenue in R&D, more than 80 international customer references, and 30% of those references from CAC 40 companies. These are figures attributed to ActivNetworks in 2010, not current company metrics. ActivNetworks release reproduced by Developpez.net
Trademark records provide historical context but do not establish that ActivNetworks or BoostEdge is operating today. A USPTO record lists BOOSTEDGE under ActivNetworks, with a 2014 registration and a later invalidation of the international extension in 2022. An INPI-derived record identifies ActivNetworks as a 2004 company, shows several BoostEdge-related registrations as expired, and shows the ActivNetworks mark as renewed. Those records do not answer whether BoostEdge is currently sold, supported, or available, or who owns the relevant business or product today. The evidence cited here is insufficient to confirm its present commercial status.

- In the course of his nearly 98 years, Rockefeller was known as both a rapacious robber baron, whose Standard Oil Company rode roughshod over an industry, and a philanthropist who donated money lavishly to universities and medical centers.
