Dell claims up to 26 hours of battery life for the Intel Core Ultra Series 2 XPS 13 9350, but that figure comes from a specific manufacturer test—not a guarantee of how long every laptop will last. Dell’s test used an FHD+ configuration streaming Netflix. The Series 2 model also adds an NPU rated for up to 48 TOPS, enabling local AI workloads and Copilot+ experiences.
How long does the Intel XPS 13 9350 last?
Dell’s headline figure is up to 26 hours for the XPS 13 9350 with Intel Core Ultra Series 2. Dell’s specification sheet identifies the tested configuration as Core Ultra 7 256V, an FHD+ display, 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD. The claim applies to that test setup, not every available configuration.
Dell Technologies says its laboratories tested the laptop in August 2024. The test used 150-nit brightness (40%), wireless enabled and Netflix 1080p streaming through the Netflix Windows 11 app. Dell cautions that actual battery life may be significantly lower and varies with configuration, software, usage, operating conditions, power-management settings and other factors. This is a manufacturer lab result, not an independently verified everyday-runtime figure.
What Core Ultra Series 2 adds
The Intel version is the XPS 13 9350. Microsoft’s September 5, 2024 Windows Experience Blog identified it as an XPS 13 with Intel Core Ultra processors Series 2. Its dedicated NPU is rated for up to 48 TOPS, supporting local AI workloads and Copilot+ experiences. The availability of particular features depends on software and region.

Dell’s current product page also lists up to 28W sustained performance and configurations with up to 2TB of storage. Dell says the graphics performance is 3.1 times that of the prior generation and AI performance is 3.6 times better; these are Dell’s comparative claims, not independent test results.
Which configuration is most relevant to battery life?
The 26-hour claim is for FHD+, so it should not be applied to higher-resolution or touch-panel options. The test result also depends on a defined processor, memory and storage configuration, while brightness, wireless use, workload and power settings affect runtime.

A higher-resolution screen or demanding work—such as editing, sustained performance tasks or local AI workloads—should be expected to use more power than the cited Netflix test. The available figures do not establish how many hours those configurations will last, so compare the exact panel and processor options rather than treating 26 hours as a general estimate.
Why the 27-hour XPS 13 claim is different
Dell’s May 20, 2024 Copilot+ announcement covered an XPS 13 launch configuration with Snapdragon X Elite and claimed up to 27 hours. That is a different processor configuration from the Intel Core Ultra Series 2 XPS 13 9350. The Snapdragon figure should not be substituted for the Intel model’s 26-hour claim. Dell later announced Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors across its AI-PC range in September 2024.

Is the XPS 13 worth buying for battery life?
The 9350 is worth considering if you want an Intel XPS 13 with local AI capability and a long manufacturer-tested streaming result. The most relevant match to Dell’s 26-hour claim is the FHD+ configuration; choosing a different display or using the laptop for demanding work can change runtime substantially. Treat the number as a best-case reference under Dell’s stated test conditions, then choose based on the configuration and workload you actually need.
