Short answer: CRKD ATOM+ is a 90 × 48 mm Bluetooth mini controller for Switch 2 and Switch 1, PC and PC handhelds, iOS and Android devices, tablets, and select smart TVs. It has a built-in rechargeable battery charged over USB-C, but CRKD does not publish an ATOM+ hours-per-charge or full-charge figure. It is not compatible with Xbox or PlayStation consoles. The box includes a USB-C-to-USB-A charging cable and a wrist strap.
What is the CRKD ATOM+?
ATOM+ is a compact Bluetooth gamepad intended for portable play rather than as a full-size living-room controller. CRKD describes it as palm-sized and pocket-friendly, with a built-in rechargeable battery and USB-C charging. The current product information lists dual thumbsticks, triggers, shoulder buttons, programmable buttons, vibration, motion control, turbo, TMR thumbsticks and support for CRKD’s Companion App. Those features make it a small controller with a conventional control layout, not a simple two-button travel pad.
The most reliable starting point is CRKD’s current ATOM+ FAQ and product page. They establish the supported host categories and physical dimensions, while leaving some battery details unspecified.

What CRKD confirms
CRKD says ATOM+ has a built-in rechargeable battery that charges through USB-C. The current ATOM+ pages do not state a number of gaming hours per charge, standby time, or the time required for a complete recharge. Consequently, there is no official ATOM+ runtime figure to use for trip planning or to compare against another controller.

Battery duration will vary with factors such as vibration, motion features, wireless connection conditions and how often the controller is used, but those variables do not justify inventing a runtime. Until CRKD publishes a specification or test result, treat battery life as not stated rather than as a guaranteed number.
Do not copy the original ATOM’s figures
CRKD’s predecessor documentation reports 8–10 hours of play time and approximately two hours to charge fully. Those numbers belong to the original ATOM, not ATOM+. They appear on CRKD’s original ATOM information page and in a reproduction of the original manual at Manuals Plus. The original manual also identifies a 180 mAh lithium-ion battery. None of those predecessor specifications establishes ATOM+ capacity, runtime or charging time.
Search results and retailer descriptions sometimes carry the older numbers forward because the products have similar names. Check that a runtime statement explicitly says “ATOM+” and is from a current CRKD specification before relying on it.

Because no official runtime is published, plan around access to USB power instead of a promised number of hours. Charge before leaving, carry the supplied cable, and avoid assuming that a short top-up guarantees a particular play time. If a trip has no dependable power, a controller with a documented capacity or replaceable batteries may be easier to schedule; that is a planning consideration, not evidence that ATOM+ performs poorly.
USB-C describes the charging connector, not a stated fast-charge rate. CRKD has not published a full-charge duration for ATOM+, so do not advertise or expect a specific two-hour recharge based on the original model.

These categories and the wireless connection method come from the official ATOM+ FAQ. Compatibility describes the host platform, not every application on that platform. A phone can pair successfully while a particular game ignores external controllers, and a smart TV can have Bluetooth but lack a supported gaming interface.

Switch 2 and Switch 1
Switch 2 and Switch 1 are both listed, so ATOM+ is not limited to the older console. Select the controller through the console’s controller-management and Bluetooth workflow rather than assuming that a previous pairing will transfer automatically. If the console does not see it, remove an old ATOM+ entry, put the controller into its pairing state according to CRKD’s instructions, and search again. The FAQ confirms platform support but does not specify a universal button sequence, so follow the current on-screen prompts and product instructions for that procedure.
PCs and handheld PCs
On a Windows PC or a PC-based handheld, ATOM+ connects wirelessly over Bluetooth. The operating system may show it as a game controller while a game launcher applies its own layout or compatibility layer. Test the buttons in the game or launcher you intend to use; a successful Bluetooth pairing only proves that the host has connected, not that every title has mapped every control.
iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets
CRKD lists iOS, Android and tablets. Pair in the device’s Bluetooth settings, then confirm support inside the game. Mobile titles vary widely: some expose controller settings, some use a fixed layout, and some accept touch input only. The ATOM+ Companion App and programmable controls can help configure the controller where supported, but app features do not make an incompatible game accept a gamepad.
Smart TVs
Only “select smart TVs” are included in CRKD’s wording. Before buying for television gaming, verify that the exact TV model supports Bluetooth game controllers and that the service or app running on it accepts one. TV operating-system updates can also change accessory behavior, so model-specific support is more meaningful than the generic smart-TV label.

CRKD expressly says ATOM+ is not compatible with Xbox or PlayStation consoles. Do not treat a USB-C charging port or a Bluetooth menu as evidence that either console will accept it. If those platforms are your primary destination, ATOM+ is the wrong choice unless CRKD later announces an official compatibility change.

How big is the ATOM+?
CRKD lists the dimensions as 90 mm × 48 mm (9 cm × 4.8 cm). The FAQ and product page describe that footprint as palm-sized and pocket-friendly. It is substantially smaller than a conventional console gamepad, which is why it suits a phone, tablet or handheld carried in a small bag.
CRKD does not publish a third ATOM+ dimension in the cited specifications. Do not infer thickness, weight or a case size from the two-number measurement. A pocket can accommodate the controller itself while still being too tight for the controller plus cable and wrist strap, so allow room for the included accessories.
Is it genuinely travel-friendly?
For portability, the dimensions are the key advantage: 90 × 48 mm takes little space in a pocket or organizer. The included wrist strap provides a way to secure the small controller during use or keep it attached to a travel pouch. The same compact format also means the controls are closer together than on a full-size pad; players with larger hands should try the layout before committing to long sessions.

Remember that “pocket-friendly” describes physical size, not battery endurance. Since CRKD does not state ATOM+ runtime, a travel kit should include the charging cable and a practical way to reach USB power.
What controls and features does it provide?
- TMR thumbsticks: the product page identifies TMR sticks and markets the design as zero-drift. That is a component and design claim, not a promise that any physical control can never wear out.
- Full control set: dual sticks, triggers and shoulder buttons provide the inputs expected by many console and PC games.
- Programmable buttons: supported buttons can be assigned for games or personal layouts through the available configuration tools.
- Vibration and motion control: these features depend on the host and game exposing the relevant functions.
- Turbo: the product page lists a turbo function; use it only where a game’s rules and the platform permit it.
- Companion App support: the app is intended for configuration, but its exact options and compatibility should be checked in the current app and CRKD documentation.
None of these features changes the published battery evidence: CRKD confirms rechargeable USB-C power but does not attach an ATOM+ runtime or charge-time number to them.
What comes in the ATOM+ box?
CRKD’s product page lists three included items:

- USB-C-to-USB-A charging cable
- Wrist strap
The cable is supplied for charging, so you do not need to purchase a separate cable to begin. The listing does not establish a numeric battery capacity, a wall charger, a carrying case or a guaranteed adapter type; do not assume those extras are included.

First-use and charging checklist
- Remove the controller and cable from the package and inspect the USB-C port and cable ends for debris or damage.
- Connect the USB-C end to ATOM+ and the USB-A end to a suitable powered USB port. Leave it connected according to CRKD’s instructions; no official full-charge time is published.
- On the target Switch, PC, handheld, mobile device, tablet or supported TV, open Bluetooth settings or the platform’s controller-management screen.
- Put ATOM+ into its pairing state using the current CRKD instructions, then select it when the host lists the controller.
- Open a game or controller-test screen and verify both sticks, triggers, shoulders and the buttons you plan to use.
- If you need remapping, vibration, motion, turbo or other options, configure them through the supported Companion App and then retest the game.
The exact pairing command and indicator behavior are not specified in the cited FAQ, so rely on the current printed or online instructions rather than an unverified button combination.
ATOM+ versus the original ATOM
The names are similar, but the published information is not interchangeable.

The table’s original-ATOM battery values are historical predecessor data, not an estimate for the newer controller. Use the ATOM+ column when answering questions about the product sold today.
Troubleshooting compatibility and power questions
“My device cannot find ATOM+.”
- Confirm that the host is one of CRKD’s listed categories and that Bluetooth is enabled.
- End an existing connection on another nearby device; a controller already connected elsewhere may not appear for a new host.
- Repeat the current CRKD pairing procedure and remove a stale ATOM+ entry before searching again.
- Restart Bluetooth or the host if the device list is stuck, then test once more.
These steps address normal wireless discovery. They cannot add support to an Xbox, PlayStation or a smart TV that does not implement Bluetooth game controllers.
“It pairs, but the game does not respond.”
Check the game’s controller settings and test in another title or the operating system’s gamepad panel. Mobile and TV apps can ignore external controllers even when the operating system reports a successful Bluetooth connection. On PC, a launcher or compatibility layer may need to be enabled for the game to interpret the inputs.
“The battery seems to run down quickly.”
First recharge over USB-C with the supplied cable and check that the connection is secure. If the issue continues, test with vibration, motion and turbo disabled where the game or configuration allows, and keep the controller close to the host to reduce unreliable wireless conditions. Because CRKD publishes no ATOM+ runtime baseline, there is no official hours figure against which to classify a particular session as normal or abnormal; persistent charging or power faults should be taken to CRKD support.
Who should choose the ATOM+?
ATOM+ fits players who want one very small Bluetooth controller for Switch 2 or 1, a PC or PC handheld, a phone, tablet or compatible TV. Its 90 × 48 mm body, wrist strap and supplied charging cable favor commuters, handheld owners and anyone who does not want a full-size pad in a travel bag.
It is a poor fit if you require a guaranteed number of play hours, a documented recharge time, a published thickness or weight, or compatibility with Xbox or PlayStation. Those are not minor omissions when you are planning a long trip or a console-specific setup; verify the requirement before purchase.
