Verdict: CleverReach is a capable email marketing platform to consider if you need newsletters, contact segmentation, reporting, and automation, particularly for a small or midsize business or online store. Its free Lite plan makes an initial evaluation possible, but the paid-plan choice depends on your recipient count, required features, billing terms, and VAT—not just the displayed starting price. This review summarizes CleverReach’s published claims and plan details; it does not include hands-on testing.

What CleverReach does

CleverReach is a cloud-based email marketing service for creating newsletters and automated campaigns. Its advertised toolkit includes a drag-and-drop editor and templates, contact management, signup forms, segmentation and tags, personalization, campaign reporting, and behavior-triggered automation. CleverReach presents the service to smaller businesses, online shops, agencies, and high-volume senders. These are vendor-described capabilities, not an independent assessment of how easy or effective they are in practice. CleverReach’s product overview describes the feature set.

Reporting includes opens, clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes. Those metrics can help monitor campaign activity, but they do not by themselves establish that a message reached a recipient’s inbox or that a campaign performed well.

CleverReach plans and pricing

The official English pricing page shows a free Lite plan and paid Basic, Pro, and Enterprise options. Its displayed prices are examples tied to a particular configuration, not quotes for every list size or billing arrangement.

Plan Published allowance or example Listed features
Lite €0 for up to 250 recipients and up to 1,000 emails per month One automation workflow
Basic From €15 per month in the displayed 500-recipient example; recipient ceiling up to 5,000 Unlimited monthly email sending; one automation workflow
Pro From €18 per month in the displayed 500-recipient example; recipient ceiling up to 150,000 Unlimited monthly email sending and workflows; A/B testing, scheduled sending, unlimited recipient lists, and expanded reporting
Enterprise From €499 per month in the displayed configuration with 250,000 emails; unlimited recipients subject to the monthly quota Unlimited automation workflows; individual-offer option

These figures and allowances are from CleverReach’s English Plans & Pricing page; check its live calculator for your list size and sending needs. The page says VAT applies and that the recipient level and billing terms affect pricing. Annual payment is billed in advance, so compare the total commitment rather than treating the monthly equivalent as a month-to-month price. The detailed plan and pricing notes are also available in CleverReach Support’s pricing guide.

The plan distinction that matters most for many growing teams is automation and testing: the comparison lists one workflow for Lite and Basic, while Pro and Enterprise list unlimited workflows. Pro is also the tier the current comparison associates with A/B testing. Confirm the live plan table before subscribing, especially if a specific feature is essential.

CleverReach advertises a one-month Pro trial for new customers with up to 5,000 recipients. The offer has exclusions, including agency customers and customers in the United States, and is promotional rather than a standing entitlement; review the current terms on the pricing page before relying on it.

Features and fit by use case

Small businesses and newsletters

Lite may be a practical way to explore the editor and campaign workflow if your audience and monthly sending fit its published limits. Basic is positioned for growing companies, but its single-workflow limit may be restrictive if you need several distinct automated journeys. Consider the number and complexity of automations you actually expect to maintain, not only the size of your mailing list.

Automation and campaign optimization

Pro is the tier to examine if you need unlimited workflows or A/B testing according to the current plan comparison. CleverReach describes automation triggered by recipient behavior, but the published materials summarized here do not establish how intuitive the workflow builder is or how it compares with competing tools. Test the specific triggers, branching, and reporting your campaigns require before committing.

Online stores

CleverReach names Shopify, WooCommerce, Shopware, and Adobe Commerce/Magento among its e-commerce integrations. It describes use cases such as cart-abandonment messages and product recommendations. The existence of a named integration does not establish that every desired sync or automation is included: check the current connector listing, what data it syncs, permissions, and required plan for your store. See CleverReach’s online-shop information.

Privacy, security, and deliverability claims

CleverReach’s plan comparison lists EU server locations, double opt-in as standard, an online data-processing agreement, SSL encryption, and support for SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. These are vendor-stated features, not a blanket finding that a particular customer’s marketing is legally compliant or secure. Compliance depends on your jurisdiction, lawful basis, consent practices, configuration, contract, and actual handling of data. Review the agreement and your own obligations before importing contacts or sending campaigns.

On its homepage, CleverReach reports that an independent EmailToolTester deliverability test averaged over 90% of newsletters correctly delivered to inboxes across its last five tests, compared with an industry average of around 83%. CleverReach does not state the year on that page, and the underlying methodology and dated reports are not provided there. Treat the figures as the vendor’s summary of an outside test, not a forecast of your own inbox placement: sender reputation, list quality, content, authentication, and recipient-provider decisions can all affect results.

Is CleverReach worth considering?

CleverReach is worth evaluating if its Lite allowance gives you a low-cost starting point, or if its paid tiers match your recipient count and required features. It may be a better fit when your needs center on newsletters, segmentation, reporting, and a manageable number of automated campaigns. For an online store, the named connectors are a useful starting point, but the exact integration behavior needs checking.

Before choosing a plan, compare the live total at your real audience size, the cost of your chosen billing term including VAT, whether you need more than one workflow, and whether A/B testing is required. Also verify the shop connector, data processing terms, consent setup, authentication options, and support expectations that matter to your organization. CleverReach’s feature and compliance statements should be treated as provider claims; this review does not independently verify them or rank CleverReach against competitors.
