If ChangeTower alerts are not arriving by email, first check Settings → Notification Preferences for the alert category you expect. Then confirm the monitor is scheduled, email alerts are enabled for that monitor, and ChangeTower has detected a qualifying change. If the event appears on the in-app Notifications page but no email arrives, contact ChangeTower support: that points to a delivery issue to investigate, but does not by itself establish where the message failed.
1. Check the account’s notification preferences
In ChangeTower, open Settings → Notification Preferences and make sure the relevant notification category is enabled. The available examples in ChangeTower’s help include “Monitor started,” “Change detected,” and “Domain scan completed.” Changes to these preferences apply automatically, according to its notification-preferences guide. If the labels in your account differ, use the current wording shown there.
A preference for one category does not necessarily enable every kind of alert. Check the category that matches the event you expect.
2. Confirm that the monitor produced an alert-worthy event
ChangeTower’s setup guide says the first change alert is sent only after the monitored page actually changes from its starting snapshot. Creating a monitor alone does not necessarily generate an email. Check the monitor’s status and schedule, then open the account’s Notifications page to see whether ChangeTower recorded an event. See the first-monitor guide.
#1 Best Overall
- If the page has not changed since the baseline snapshot, no change alert may be expected yet.
- If the monitor is paused, inactive, or not scheduled as intended, correct its status or schedule and allow a check to run.
- If the monitor checked the page but the particular change was not detected, review which page and type of change the monitor is configured to watch.
3. Verify email alerts in the monitor’s own settings
Account-wide notification preferences and monitor-level email settings are separate checks. Open the monitor’s Details section and confirm email alerts are enabled for that monitor. ChangeTower’s setup guide places email-alert controls alongside scheduling and other monitor options.
Also confirm that the monitor points to the intended page. A correctly enabled email setting cannot send a change alert for a page or change type the monitor is not watching.

4. Check the intended recipient’s access and preferences
If the alert should go to a teammate or shared recipient, verify that the person has the required workspace membership or is subscribed to the relevant monitor, and that any invitation has been accepted. The recipient should also check their own Settings → Notification Preferences; team members can select which alert categories reach their inbox.
ChangeTower’s detailed instructions for subscribing users to monitors were published on March 30, 2023. The article describes team notification management as a premium feature, but that plan detail and the interface labels may have changed. Check the current account and ChangeTower’s subscription instructions before relying on the older plan information.
5. Use the Notifications page to locate the failure
Open ChangeTower’s in-app Notifications page and look for the expected event.
- The event is absent: return to the monitor’s schedule, status, watched page, change criteria, and email toggle. There may not yet be a qualifying event for ChangeTower to email.
- The event is present but the email is missing: the monitor recorded the event, so contact ChangeTower support for account-specific investigation. The in-app record does not prove whether the message was generated, rejected, delayed, or filtered.
The public ChangeTower materials cited here do not document mailbox-specific causes or provide delivery logs. They do not establish a particular spam-folder, allowlist, sender-address, SPF/DKIM, or mailbox-provider issue as the cause of missing ChangeTower alerts. As general email hygiene, you can check junk or quarantine folders and your organization’s mail filters, but treat those as checks—not a confirmed ChangeTower-specific fix.

6. Contact ChangeTower support with useful details
If the event is recorded in-app, or the settings appear correct and email still does not arrive, contact ChangeTower through its support contact page. Include:
- The monitor name and page URL.
- The change you expected to trigger an alert.
- The approximate time the monitor checked or the event appeared.
- The intended recipient and whether the person is a workspace member or monitor subscriber.
- Whether the event appears on the in-app Notifications page.
- Which account and monitor notification preferences you checked.
ChangeTower says it replies to support requests within one business day on every plan. That is its stated response target, not a guarantee of when a delivery issue will be diagnosed or resolved.

If your goal is to capture a page rather than troubleshoot ChangeTower email, ScreenshotNeo offers a website screenshot API and MCP server. A single request can return an image or PDF; the example below saves a WebP screenshot of the page URL. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options.
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://changetower.com -o shot.webp
ScreenshotNeo accepts cookie or consent banners and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; those steps can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and responses identify the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server includes take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf tools for AI agents. The Free plan includes 1,000 shots a month without a card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots.
