Remittix says it opened PayFi testing to an initial group of 1,000 selected holders on October 1, 2026. The announcement is an early test of a crypto-to-bank payment service—not evidence of scaled use, and not an announced connection to Chainlink. Chainlink’s recent news concerns institutional blockchain infrastructure, a different stage and type of activity.
What Remittix’s PayFi test includes
In an October 2, 2026 release, Remittix said the selected cohort is testing EUR and USD payment routes. The company describes PayFi as a service where a user funds a transfer with a supported digital asset and the recipient receives fiat through a compatible bank account. Remittix said it plans to add more currencies, crypto assets, and networks; those are planned additions, not routes the release says are already available.
A test cohort can help a company assess a product flow, but the announcement does not establish how many transfers were completed, whether users made repeat payments, or whether the service is available to the public. It should be read as a product-testing milestone rather than proof of adoption at scale.
How this differs from Chainlink’s recent news
Chainlink’s official newsroom listed September 28, 2026 announcements about connecting financial institutions to Swift’s blockchain ledger and launching CCIP 2.0. The CCIP 2.0 release presents tokenization as moving toward broader distribution and real-world utility. It also includes a statement from Taurus co-founder and managing partner Lamine Brahimi: “Chainlink CCIP is a key standard for how digital assets are managed and distributed across global markets while maintaining institutional security, compliance, and operational controls.”

That is institutional infrastructure news; Remittix’s announcement is about selected users testing a payment product. The two announcements do not establish that Chainlink powers Remittix or that the projects have an integration.

What Remittix says about its broader progress
Remittix’s October 2 release also reported more than 10,000 Remittix Wallet downloads, more than $50 million in Remittix Markets perpetual-futures volume, and more than $32 million raised from over 40,000 participants. The company said RTX was scheduled to launch on November 24, 2026. These are company-reported milestones and a scheduled date, not independently audited measures or confirmation that the launch has occurred.

- Ideal for decorative applications, swings, animal control, wallets and accessories.
Each figure measures something different: downloads are not necessarily active users; trading volume is not payment usage; funds raised and participant counts do not show recurring demand for the payment service. The release does not provide an audited conversion rate from test participants to repeat PayFi users.

For a clearer picture of whether a test is becoming a usable payment service, look for evidence that separates access, completed transactions, repeat behavior, and token demand. Useful disclosures would include:
Rank #3
- Ideal for decorative applications, swings, animal control, wallets and accessories.
- Availability: whether the test remains invitation-only, which countries and bank routes are supported, and when wider access is expected.
- Completed use: counts of successful transfers, transaction values, failed or reversed payments, and the period covered, ideally with independent verification.
- Repeat activity: the share of participants who make subsequent payments, rather than only register, download a wallet, or transact once.
- Payment terms: supported assets and networks, conversion rates, fees, processing times, and how payment failures or refunds are handled.
- Token mechanics: whether RTX is required for a payment or settlement step, and what documented mechanism—if any—connects product use to token demand or value accrual. Apply the same scrutiny to claims about LINK.
- Access and safeguards: custody arrangements, liquidity, geographic restrictions, and the regulatory and banking partners involved.
Until those details are documented, the announcements support a comparison of project narratives and announced milestones, not a ranking of LINK and RTX as investments.
