The following prices and allocations are listed on Castr’s official pricing page, retrieved October 3, 2026. Annual monthly-equivalent figures are not monthly payments: annual billing charges the stated total for the year and provides an upfront annual bandwidth pool. Castr advertises annual billing as two months free. Confirm the billing interval and checkout total before subscribing because prices and plan allocations can change.

Starter includes a seven-day trial, and Castr’s pricing page states that no credit card is required. Monthly plans are described as month-to-month; annual billing trades flexibility for the lower displayed equivalent and larger upfront pool.
Does Castr support a 24/7 YouTube live stream?
Yes, subject to an active subscription and sufficient streaming bandwidth. Castr’s help center says it supports “unlimited live streaming duration for your events as long as your subscription is active and has enough streaming bandwidth.” That statement addresses duration, not unlimited viewer delivery: every plan has a finite player-bandwidth allocation. Castr describes cloud playout as scheduling uploaded videos, recordings, and live streams into one continuous channel, and lists YouTube among its multistream destinations. Destination limits vary by plan. Castr’s platform page describes its cloud-pl a yout and delivery offering.
How to choose a Castr plan for continuous streaming
Do not choose a tier from stream duration alone. Estimate expected viewer delivery and compare it with the plan’s player bandwidth; Castr points users to a bandwidth calculator on its pricing page. A stream with few viewers can have very different delivery needs from one with a large audience, even if both run around the clock.

- Player bandwidth: Compare expected audience delivery against the monthly allowance or annual pool. Hours live do not by themselves establish the required tier.
- Destinations: Count YouTube and any other destinations you intend to simulcast to, then check the plan limit.
- Concurrent streams: Check the allowance if you operate multiple channels or events simultaneously.
- Hosted video: Compare the plan’s storage with the videos you intend to schedule.
- Features: Standard adds RTMP/SRT pull links and in-stream advertising. Premium adds adaptive bitrate/custom transcoding, HLS live URLs, domain and geographic controls, and API access. Ultra adds failover ingest, low-latency playback, and additional playout controls. Events targets branded OTT service needs.
- Billing: Compare the annual charge and pool with monthly flexibility. The annual figure shown as a monthly equivalent is still billed upfront.
Starter and Standard are the lowest listed entry points, but neither is a universal 24/7 recommendation without an audience and bandwidth estimate. Premium through Events provide higher published capacity and additional features that may suit larger or more complex operations. Castr advises contacting its team about custom allocations or migration workflows before purchase.
Important YouTube archive limit for 24/7 operators
A continuous broadcast may keep running while its complete program is not preserved as a YouTube archive. YouTube says a live stream under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream that exceeds 12 hours “may not be captured at all.” If you need a complete recording, maintain a local archive or separate recording workflow; YouTube recommends keeping a local backup.
