Piggyvest GetIT’s Ride Goals is a Nigeria-only savings-and-delivery plan for brand-new Mikano vehicles. Eligible adults choose a vehicle, contribution frequency and a 3-, 6-, 9- or 12-month term, then save through the Piggyvest app. When the target is complete, Mikano processes the order and delivers the car to the address entered in the app.
The important conditions are straightforward but easy to overlook: you need a Nigerian bank account and an active Piggyvest account; the target can change if the vehicle price changes; early withdrawal generally costs 5% of the amount withdrawn; and reaching the target ends the cancellation option. Piggyvest’s published materials do not set out a separate post-delivery refund process for a defective, late or rejected vehicle, so obtain the current contract before committing money.
What the Piggyvest car savings plan is
Ride Goals is the GetIT feature that lets a customer save toward a new Mikano vehicle instead of paying the entire vehicle price at once. Piggyvest’s announcement describes daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly contributions, with terms of three, six, nine or 12 months. The selected vehicle, target term and payment schedule are shown in the app.

The product responds to a practical problem identified by both companies. Piggyvest co-founder and chief marketing officer Joshua Chibueze said some customers were already using different Piggyvest wallets to save for cars. Mikano national operations manager Syam Abdulkadir described the arrangement as a way to avoid limiting buyers to used vehicles or cars without after-sales service simply because a new car is otherwise unaffordable.
Who can use Ride Goals?
Core eligibility requirements
Piggyvest’s Terms of Use require all of the following:
- Acceptance of Piggyvest’s terms of use.
- Registration for a Piggyvest account.
- Nigerian citizenship or legal residence in Nigeria.
- Age 18 or older.
- A Nigerian bank account.
- Any identity information Piggyvest requests during registration or use.
The service currently operates only in Nigeria and is intended for users with Nigerian bank accounts. A person living abroad without a qualifying Nigerian account should not assume that an international card or foreign bank account will satisfy the requirement.
Account and app access
The car offer assumes that you have an active Piggyvest account and can use the Piggyvest app. Before choosing a vehicle, sign in and make sure your identity details and bank information are accepted. If the app asks for additional verification, complete it before setting a target; an incomplete profile can prevent you from subscribing or receiving account support.
Eligibility checklist
- Confirm that you are at least 18.
- Confirm Nigerian citizenship or legal residence.
- Keep a Nigerian bank account in your own usable payment setup.
- Complete the identity information Piggyvest requests.
- Install or update the Piggyvest app and verify that GetIT and Ride Goals are available on your account.
How much do you pay, and how are contributions scheduled?
Choose a frequency and term
You can select one of four contribution frequencies: daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. You can pair that frequency with a three-, six-, nine- or 12-month plan. The app calculates the target contributions from the displayed vehicle price and the selected term. A shorter term means larger, more frequent funding requirements; a longer term spreads the target over more time but leaves you exposed to a longer period in which the vehicle price could change.

The published materials do not promise that every frequency will produce identical calendar dates or identical instalment amounts. Use the schedule displayed for your selected vehicle and plan rather than dividing the headline price manually and assuming the result is the amount that will be debited each time.

The app presents the available route when you subscribe. Check that the chosen wallet or account has enough funds for each scheduled contribution and retain payment records in case you need support.
When the first contribution happens
Piggyvest says the first save occurs when you subscribe unless you switch off the Start saving immediately option. Read that setting carefully during checkout. Leaving it enabled means the first contribution is taken at subscription; switching it off changes that immediate-payment behavior according to the schedule shown in the app.
Worked example: the October 2026 vehicle listing
Piggyvest’s October 2026 announcement gives a Changan Eado Elite as an example at a listed price of ₦31,164,250. A 12-month plan carried a 5% discount, producing a stated target of ₦29,606,038. That is a product example, not a guaranteed current quotation. A simple average of the discounted target over 12 months is about ₦2,467,170 per month, but the amount and dates that apply to your account are the figures displayed in the app.

What happens if the vehicle price changes?
The target is not necessarily locked forever at the amount visible on the day you subscribe. Piggyvest says the target can adjust to a new vehicle price and that it will notify the saver in advance. Before starting, record the displayed vehicle price, discount, term and target. If a notification announces a new target, compare it with your remaining balance and contribution schedule before continuing.
How vehicle delivery works
Choose the delivery address in the app
During setup, select the address to which the vehicle should be delivered. Review the address character by character, including the recipient’s name and contact details. Delivery is tied to the address supplied in the app, so do not assume that a later informal message will automatically change it.
Processing starts after the target is reached
Piggyvest says Mikano begins processing once the savings target has been reached. The car is then delivered to the supplied address. The GetIT FAQ describes delivery as occurring within the applicable delivery window after the target date, rather than on the exact day the final contribution posts.
Confirm the exact delivery window
The precise window depends on the vehicle and plan. Check the current window shown in the app and save a screenshot or confirmation before paying. A 12-month target date is therefore not, by itself, a promised handover date; it marks completion of the savings stage, after which the stated delivery window applies.
Delivery checklist
- Confirm the vehicle model and target in the app.
- Verify the delivery address and phone details.
- Note the target-completion date and the delivery window displayed for that vehicle.
- Keep payment confirmations and Piggyvest notifications.
- Contact Piggyvest support if the target is complete but no processing or delivery information appears within the stated window.
Can you cancel, withdraw or get a refund?
Early cancellation or withdrawal
The car announcement says that breaking or cancelling the plan early incurs a 5% fee on the amount withdrawn. The fee is calculated against the amount you withdraw, not necessarily against the full vehicle target. For example, a ₦1,000,000 withdrawal would imply a ₦50,000 fee under that rule, leaving ₦950,000 before any other applicable account treatment.

The 24-hour rule
Cancellation within 24 hours is free unless the saver paid by card or bank transfer. Because the exception is payment-method specific, check the confirmation screen and current terms for the route you used. Do not assume that every cancellation made during the first day is cost-free.
After the target is reached
Once the target is reached, the order cannot be cancelled under the published car-plan rules. Reaching the target therefore creates a decision point: confirm the model, address and delivery terms before allowing the final amount to complete the goal.
What is not established about refunds
Piggyvest’s published materials reviewed for this guide do not state a car-specific refund procedure for a vehicle that is defective, delivered late, rejected on inspection or otherwise disputed. The savings-plan cancellation rules are not the same thing as a post-delivery vehicle-return policy.
Before subscribing, request the current Piggyvest/Mikano contract and look for written terms covering inspection, defects, delivery delay, rejection, replacement, cancellation after completion and refund timing. If a problem occurs, document the vehicle condition and delivery date, keep all messages and contact Piggyvest support and Mikano through the channels named in your contract. No refund should be assumed until the written terms or support response confirms one.

How this plan differs from other ways to buy a car
The most useful comparison is not just the monthly amount. Check who is eligible, how long money is committed, whether the target can change, what cancellation costs, who fulfils delivery and whether a written remedy exists after handover.

This comparison does not make one route universally cheaper or safer. It shows where the Ride Goals contract is specific and where you must obtain additional terms before paying.
What to check before subscribing
- Vehicle and price: Confirm the exact model, listed price, discount and target shown today.
- Term and frequency: Select a schedule that matches your reliable cash flow, not an optimistic month.
- First save: Check whether Start saving immediately is enabled.
- Payment route: Verify whether you are using bank transfer, Flex Naira or PocketApp and understand the first debit or transfer instruction.
- Price-change notice: Find where Piggyvest will notify you if the vehicle price and target change.
- Address: Enter an address where you can receive the vehicle and keep the confirmation.
- Delivery window: Record the vehicle-specific window shown in the app.
- Cancellation cost: Budget for the 5% early-withdrawal fee and note the 24-hour payment-method exception.
- Completion lock: Make sure you are satisfied with the model and address before the target is reached, because the published rule removes cancellation after completion.
- Refund wording: Obtain the current Piggyvest/Mikano contract’s treatment of defects, delay, rejection, replacement and refunds.
Practical answers to common situations
You want to contribute monthly but cannot meet the displayed amount
Do not silently reduce a scheduled contribution and assume the target date will remain unchanged. Recheck the app’s schedule and available plan options. If the displayed amount no longer fits your budget, contact Piggyvest before missing a payment so you understand the effect on the target and delivery timing.
The price changes while you are saving
Wait for Piggyvest’s notice and compare the revised target with your remaining contributions. The announcement says the target can adjust to a new vehicle price, so the original screenshot is evidence of the earlier quote, not a guarantee that the car will remain at that amount.

Estimate the 5% charge on the amount you intend to withdraw, then check whether the 24-hour rule applies. If the target has already been reached, the published rule says cancellation is no longer available.
The target is complete but delivery information is missing
Check the delivery window for your selected vehicle, confirm that your address is correct and retain proof that the target was completed. If the applicable window passes without an update, contact Piggyvest and Mikano using the support details in your current contract.
