Yes. RIMOWA accepts repair requests through Client Care and its stores. Whether the repair is covered depends on when and where you bought the suitcase, what is damaged, and how the damage occurred. For suitcases purchased on or after July 25, 2022, RIMOWA’s lifetime guarantee covers functional aspects for the suitcase’s lifespan, but excludes cosmetic wear and tear, misuse, and abuse. RIMOWA assesses individual claims and may quote for work that is not covered.
What RIMOWA’s lifetime guarantee covers
RIMOWA says new suitcases purchased on or after July 25, 2022 are covered by a lifetime manufacturer’s guarantee for the suitcase’s functional aspects. Cosmetic wear and tear, misuse, and abuse are excluded. RIMOWA makes the final decision on whether a particular problem qualifies. RIMOWA’s worldwide guarantee FAQ and its US owner manual describe these terms.
A functional problem can be submitted for assessment, but the available terms do not decide every specific case in advance. For example, a damaged wheel or dent should be assessed by RIMOWA rather than assumed covered or excluded based on the symptom alone. The cause and effect on use may matter.
For eligible claims under the US manual, RIMOWA may repair or replace the suitcase. If an identical replacement part or product is unavailable, the terms allow use of a comparable one. The US manual says the owner pays to ship the item to RIMOWA, while RIMOWA covers costs incurred, including return shipment.

Older suitcases have different warranty terms
For suitcases purchased before July 25, 2022, coverage depends on purchase date, registration, and market. The US owner manual distinguishes the United States and Canada from other regions; the worldwide FAQ summarizes older terms as five years with online registration and two years without. Check the terms and proof of purchase for the market where the suitcase was bought before relying on a specific period.

There is a separate term for certain customized accessories: qualifying RIMOWA Classic suitcases purchased from July 25, 2022 with UNIQUE wheels, handles, or address tags have lifetime coverage for the suitcase, but a two-year manufacturer’s guarantee for those customized accessories. If those parts need repair or replacement after two years under the suitcase’s lifetime guarantee, RIMOWA says standard spare parts will be used. See the worldwide FAQ.

How to request a repair
- Start with RIMOWA’s online repair form. RIMOWA recommends submitting a request online to help move the process along. Use the US Care and Repair page to find its repair information and form.
- Arrange a drop-off through the local channel. RIMOWA directs customers to Client Care, a RIMOWA store, or an authorized service centre. Its UK contact page says customers can drop off a suitcase at a store without an appointment; that instruction is specific to the UK, so confirm local arrangements elsewhere. RIMOWA UK contact page.
- Bring proof of purchase for a guarantee claim. The US owner manual calls for proof of purchase and directs owners to a RIMOWA store, authorized dealer, or authorized service centre.
- Wait for assessment and follow-up. RIMOWA says simple repairs can be handled on the spot in most stores, but not every location or damage type will qualify. The brand’s repair page says it will assess other requests and notify customers when an item is ready for collection.
If the damage is not covered
A claim that falls outside the guarantee does not automatically rule out a repair. RIMOWA says its Care Experts assess repairs not covered by the guarantee, including cosmetic repairs, and provide an estimate. Its general repair guidance does not state a standard price or turnaround time, so ask for the assessment and quote before authorizing work.
