If you did not play that day’s Wordle, the official information available does not document a way to restore the missed result or repair the streak yourself. Playing the puzzle later from the archive is not documented as a way to fill in a missed daily result. If you did play but your streak disappeared, that is a different problem: check your account and sync, then consult NYT Games support. No guaranteed restoration remedy is established for either situation.
Can playing a missed Wordle in the archive restore your streak?
There is no documented evidence that it can. The NYT Games app listings describe archive access for subscribers, alongside Wordle statistics, but do not say that completing an older puzzle retroactively counts toward the daily streak. Archive play is a way to play past puzzles, not a documented streak-repair method.
The Google Play listing for the NYT Games app identifies Wordle and describes its statistics and archive features. The Apple App Store listing also describes Wordle, stats, and a subscriber puzzle archive. Neither listing says archived play restores a missed daily streak.
Does paying for Wordle bring back a missed streak?
The available official app descriptions do not show a paid streak-recovery feature. They distinguish ordinary Wordle play from subscriber access to the puzzle archive; they do not say that subscribing repairs a streak or that a subscription is required to retain stats. Paying for archive access should not be treated as a way to undo a missed day.

What if you played but your streak vanished?
If you completed that day’s puzzle, the issue may be with the account or the way your game progress is syncing rather than a day you skipped. Check that you are using the account where you played and that the game is syncing as expected. Then consult the NYT Games Help Center for current app-support guidance.
The Help Center page covers the Games app generally; it does not set out a Wordle-specific missed-day or streak-restoration policy. The available official material does not establish whether support will restore a streak lost because of an account or technical problem, so contact support without assuming restoration is guaranteed.
