What happened to Yuzu?
Yuzu was a Nintendo Switch emulator that could run Switch software on other devices. In its February 26, 2024 complaint against Tropic Haze LLC, Nintendo of America described Yuzu as allowing Switch games to be played on Windows, Linux, or Android systems. That is historical context, not a current Nintendo-supported way to play the game on PC.

Yuzu’s developers settled with Nintendo in March 2024. Nintendo Wire reported that Tropic Haze agreed to pay $2.4 million and cease Yuzu’s development and distribution. As a result, there is no official Yuzu download or supported Yuzu setup to recommend today.
Is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate available on Steam?
The cited sources identify Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a Nintendo Switch title, and none establishes an official PC release. They also do not establish whether a Steam listing exists. Do not treat a third-party listing, emulator guide, or download as evidence of a Nintendo-authorized PC version.

Why this guide does not provide Yuzu setup or key instructions
Nintendo’s legal-information page defines emulators as software designed to run another program on a device it was not created for, and warns that unauthorized emulators may circumvent security measures and encourage unauthorized copies. In its DMCA record, Nintendo characterized Yuzu as primarily designed to circumvent technological protection measures and described its operation as involving Switch decryption keys such as prod.keys.
That legal context does not establish one universal rule for every country or every personal-backup scenario. It does mean a guide should not direct readers to unofficial Yuzu mirrors, game images, firmware dumps, or decryption keys. No lawful universal key-dumping procedure is established by the cited sources.

Get an official Switch copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and play it on Nintendo-supported Switch hardware. If you specifically need to play on a computer, the cited evidence does not identify a Nintendo-authorized PC version or a currently supported Yuzu route.
