Cash App’s official U.S. materials do not document a way to clear transaction history while keeping an account active. They explain how to view transaction records and how to submit a personal-information deletion request, but that request is not a guaranteed way to erase every financial record. If you need a record later, save your statements before requesting deletion or making a major account change.
Can you delete a single Cash App transaction or clear all history?
Cash App’s Terms of Service say transaction information appears in your transaction history and explain how to access receipts, statements, and transaction history. They do not document a control for deleting an individual payment or clearing the full history while retaining an active account. This describes what Cash App’s official materials document; it is not a claim about every version of the app or every possible interface control.

The Terms say, “Transaction information will be reflected in your transaction history in Cash App,” and that receipts and statements can be found in your Cash App account. The U.S. Terms were last updated June 4, 2026. Read Cash App’s Terms of Service.
How to view or save your Cash App records
Cash App’s Terms describe viewing receipts in Activity and accessing account records online at cash.app/account. They also describe access to 12-month and 24-month transaction history in the app or through the account page. These are ways to view or retain records, not ways to clear them.

What a personal-information deletion request does—and does not promise
A deletion request is a privacy process, not an in-app clear-history command. Cash App’s Privacy Notice directs users to support to make privacy requests. Cash App may verify identity and request confirmation, and legal exceptions may apply. The notice warns: “Please note that you may no longer be able to use our Services if you delete your personal information.”

The notice does not promise that a request will erase every transaction or financial record. It also says the rights described in its privacy section do not apply to personal information governed by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). The notice is effective June 8, 2026; see Cash App’s Privacy Notice.
To ask what privacy-request options apply to your account and location, use Cash App Support or call 1-800-969-1940, the number listed in the notice. Save any statements or transaction records you need before making a request.

What Cash App’s request statistics mean
Cash App’s privacy disclosure reports 2025 request activity from January 1 through December 31, 2025. These are organization-wide request figures, not success rates for erasing transaction histories:
- 11,617 deletion requests received; 59 denied.
- Median time to fulfill deletion requests: 3 days.
- 49,217 access requests received; 0 denied.

Does clearing history hide a payment from other people?
Cash App’s Privacy Notice says it shares information with people involved in transactions and may make certain details available to other Cash App customers to help identify the person they are transacting with. That statement does not establish that a complete transaction history is public, nor does it mean clearing a record from your own view would remove information held by others.
What if you only want to hide one Activity item on your phone?
The official materials described above do not establish whether every current app version has an individual control to hide an Activity item. Check the current app or ask Cash App Support if your specific concern is what someone with access to your device can see. Do not assume that hiding an item—if a control is available—would delete the underlying account record.
