The reviewed Livepush help pages do not confirm that Livepush automatically restarts a YouTube stream after an outage. If an account-connected destination stops working, Livepush says a disconnected social account is a usual cause and advises reconnecting the account and saving the destination again. That guidance does not establish what happens after every kind of interruption, such as a network failure or a YouTube service issue.
What Livepush documents about a stopped YouTube destination
Livepush supports YouTube destinations through an account connection or a manual stream key. Its help page says that when a connection stops working, a usual cause is that the social account was disconnected; the documented fix is to reconnect the account and save the destination again. The page does not describe automatic recovery after an outage. Livepush Help Center
“Usual cause” is not a diagnosis of every failure. A disconnected account is different from a local network or encoder interruption, a power loss, or a YouTube-side problem. The cited Livepush guidance does not say that reconnecting an account will resolve those other cases.
Check how your YouTube destination is configured
Account-connected destination
In Livepush’s account-connected setup, link your Google/YouTube account, select the channel, choose an existing live event or create one, enter event details and privacy, save the destination, and turn it on to stream. If that destination later stops working, Livepush’s documented remedy is to reconnect the account and save the destination again. Livepush Help Center

If this destination will not start, verify that the event and stream key are configured correctly; YouTube’s troubleshooting guidance for encoder failures includes checking or replacing the key. Do YouTube’s auto-start settings mean Livepush will recover?
No such conclusion is supported by the cited guidance. YouTube says that when auto-start and auto-stop are enabled, a stream can be started or stopped from the encoder. Those are YouTube stream settings; they do not document Livepush restarting an interrupted stream. YouTube further instructs encoder users to stop sending content from the encoder to end a stream. This describes the encoder workflow, not Livepush’s response to an outage. If a login-based third-party streaming tool that does not use a stream key fails to start, YouTube advises contacting that software provider’s support. YouTube Help: Stream with an encoder
What to do when a Livepush stream stops
- Identify the setup. Determine whether the destination uses a linked YouTube account or a manual stream key. The checks differ.
- For an account-connected destination, reconnect and save. Follow Livepush’s documented fix: reconnect the social account and save the destination again. If the cause is not an account disconnection, this may not address it.
- For a manual-key destination, check the event and key. Confirm the intended YouTube live event and stream key are configured for the session. If an encoder fails to start, YouTube’s troubleshooting steps include checking or replacing the key.
- Separate a start failure from an interruption. YouTube’s encoder troubleshooting guidance addresses failures to start; it does not establish that Livepush automatically resumes a stream after it has been interrupted.
- Ask Livepush about account-specific recovery. The public guidance cited here does not settle whether Livepush offers an unpublished, support-only, or account-specific recovery process. Confirm directly with Livepush support before relying on automatic restart.
