Yes. You can charge an iPhone with a Samsung charger if the charger is compliant, the cable fits both the adapter and the iPhone, and the accessories are in good condition. The Samsung name alone does not determine compatibility. Charging speed depends on the specific iPhone, adapter, and cable combination.
What determines whether the charger will work?
Check the connector at each end of the cable, then make sure the power adapter complies with the relevant charging standard. Apple says a compliant USB-C adapter and cable can charge iPhone 15 and later, and that Lightning iPhones can use USB-C power adapters with a USB-C-to-Lightning cable. Samsung also lists its 25W PD USB-C adapter as compatible with other devices, including iPhone 8 or higher. That is Samsung’s compatibility statement for this adapter, not a speed guarantee for every iPhone. See Samsung’s 25W adapter listing.

Will a Samsung charger damage an iPhone?
A Samsung charger is not inherently unsafe for an iPhone. Use a compliant adapter and an undamaged cable; Apple warns that noncompliant adapters can pose a safety risk. If the adapter or cable is frayed, cracked, unusually hot, or otherwise damaged, stop using it rather than trying it with another device. Apple’s guidance on adapters and third-party accessories is available at About Apple USB power adapters.
Will it fast-charge the iPhone?
It may, but compatibility does not guarantee a particular charging rate. Apple identifies USB Power Delivery (USB PD) as a fast-charging route for USB-C iPhones and says a USB-C adapter rated at 20W or higher can be used for faster charging. That figure describes adapter capacity guidance, not a measured or guaranteed result for every iPhone. Samsung’s product page rates its example adapter at 25W, but does not provide an iPhone-by-iPhone charging-speed table. The phone and charger manage the power they use, so do not assume an iPhone will draw the adapter’s full rated wattage.

How to check your setup
- Identify the iPhone port. iPhone 15 and later use USB-C; earlier Lightning models need a Lightning cable.
- Look at the adapter’s output port. If it is USB-C, use USB-C-to-USB-C for a USB-C iPhone or USB-C-to-Lightning for a Lightning iPhone. If it is USB-A, use a cable with USB-A at the adapter end and the correct connector for the phone.
- Check condition and compliance. Use an adapter that complies with the relevant charging standard and inspect the adapter and cable for damage.
- Connect and monitor charging. If charging does not begin, check that both ends are fully inserted and that the cable and adapter are compatible and undamaged. Try a known-good compatible cable or adapter to identify which part may be at fault.
What the 25W Samsung example does—and does not—mean
Samsung’s US listing for its 25W PD USB-C adapter (model EP-T2510) names “iPhone8 or higher” among compatible devices. The listing describes the adapter’s rated capacity and Samsung’s stated device compatibility; it does not establish that every iPhone charges at 25W, or specify a charging time. Use it as one compatibility example, not as a requirement for charging an iPhone.
