Yes, if the creator and the individual livestream meet YouTube’s eligibility rules. India is on YouTube’s list of locations where eligible creators can use Super Chat and Super Stickers. But being in India—or running a stream around the clock—does not by itself qualify a channel. YouTube’s official guidance reviewed here sets out no special rule that makes a 24/7 stream automatically eligible or ineligible.
What must be true for Super Chat to work?
Super Chat lets viewers pay to highlight a message in live chat. YouTube makes it available on eligible livestreams and Premieres, provided live chat is enabled. Access depends on both the creator’s channel and the specific stream.
Creator and channel requirements
- The creator must be in a location where Super Chat and Super Stickers are available; India is included in YouTube’s availability list. YouTube’s Super Chat availability and eligibility guidance explains the requirements.
- The creator must participate in the YouTube Partner Program (YPP), be at least 18, and accept and comply with the applicable terms, including the Commerce Product Module. See YouTube’s monetization policies.
- Check YouTube Studio’s Earn section. YouTube says the Supers tab or card appears there when a creator has access. YouTube Help.
Expanded YPP thresholds are not the whole test
YouTube lists an expanded YPP access tier for specified fan-funding features, including Super Chat: 500 subscribers, three public uploads in the past 90 days, and either 3,000 qualified public watch hours on long-form videos in the past 365 days or 3 million qualified public Shorts views in the past 90 days. These are access thresholds for that tier, not a substitute for the other Super Chat, creator, and stream-level requirements. Check the current details on YouTube’s expanded YPP page.
Can a 24/7 cricket commentary stream qualify?
The official YouTube pages reviewed describe Super Chat for livestreams and Premieres but do not specify a separate rule for continuous 24/7 streams. So the careful answer is that the ordinary eligibility conditions apply; continuous operation alone is not established as either a reason for approval or disqualification.

That means a cricket commentary stream still needs to be an eligible live stream with live chat enabled, and the channel must have access to Supers. Do not treat a successful 24/7 broadcast as proof that Super Chat is available: verify the feature in YouTube Studio and check the settings on the specific stream.

What about cricket footage, commentary, and copyright?
Super Chat eligibility does not grant permission to use cricket match footage, broadcast audio, graphics, or other protected material. A stream’s ability to accept Supers is a separate question from whether its content complies with copyright and YouTube rules. Use material you have the rights to use, and review YouTube’s applicable policies and terms before broadcasting. YouTube also cautions creators to understand the laws that apply to fan-funding features; Super Chat should not be described as a donation or crowdfunding tool.

How much does the creator receive?
YouTube says, “Creators receive 70% of Supers revenue that is confirmed by Google.” This is YouTube’s stated share for confirmed Supers revenue, not a forecast or guarantee that a particular cricket stream will receive any messages or earn a particular amount. YouTube’s official explanation is in Manage YouTube Super Chat & Super Stickers for Live Chat.
One upcoming YPP terms change to note
YouTube’s monetization page says updated YPP terms take effect starting February 1, 2027, and creators should accept them by January 31, 2027 to continue fully monetizing. Because this is a forward-looking policy detail, check YouTube’s current YPP guidance for any changes before that date.
