Yes, the format is not expressly prohibited in the YouTube guidance reviewed. But that does not guarantee that a particular livestream—or its channel—will qualify for monetization. YouTube’s concerns are the originality and value of the content across the channel, plus whether you have the necessary rights to the audio and image. An animated waveform alone is not a demonstrated way to make repetitive content eligible.
What YouTube’s rules do—and do not—say about this format
YouTube’s channel monetization policies apply to live streams as well as other video. They do not specifically rule on a meditation livestream that pairs one still image with animated audio waves. The format therefore appears usable under the general rules, but YouTube has not guaranteed that it is permitted or monetizable in every case.
The key distinction is between the visual format and the substance of the content. YouTube says that content in a series should be materially varied and deliver creative, educational, or other value. Its examples of potentially inauthentic content include “Image slideshows, templated storylines, or scrolling text with minimal or no narrative, commentary, or educational value.” A waveform does not, by itself, establish originality or meaningful value.
What affects monetization eligibility
YouTube reviews monetization at the channel level, not just by looking at whether one livestream contains an animated visual. Its review may consider the channel’s theme, most-viewed and newest content, the share of watch time associated with particular videos, metadata, and the About section. The current policy page says YouTube renamed “repetitious content” as “inauthentic content” on July 15, 2025, clarifying that the policy includes repetitive or mass-produced material; it also says there was no change to the reused-content policy.

- [XLR Mic Input] One XLR microphone input interface is set on the gaming audio mixer, which is great to up your audio quality with your XLR setup. The XLR mixer is a stepping stone to upgrade your live streaming. Audio mixer offered built-in 48V phantom power which opens up more choices for mics. Directly use it with your condenser microphone but do not solve added peripherals. (NOT available for USB mic)
- [Individual Channel Control] Gaming audio mixer for one mic recording with smooth volume slider fader take your streaming recording to a whole new level with full pleasure. Four independent channels set on the DJ mixer give audio volume of the MICROPHONE, LINE IN, HEADPHONE, and LINE OUT channels individual control. Configurable on the PC audio mixer instead of just operating on your game or streaming software.
- [Mute and Monitor] The front mute and monitor buttons but not at the back, make it easier to get the audio interface use. Ability to mute audio, the audio mixer for streaming prevents background noise from damaging your live broadcast. Real-time feedback between speaking and hearing will not distract your attention, which encourage you to speak more confidently. The sturdy-built control button allow you to operate freely and easily during live streaming.
- [Sound Effects] The computer sound mixer supports four pre-recorded customized button that can be recorded and activated at the press of button to post production. 6 kinds of voice changing modes change your output style. 12 auto tune changes the tone of your voice. The podcast mixer being able to add different and fun effects is a huge bonus for your streaming or game voice.
- [Controllable Vibrant RGB] RGB button on the audio mixer DJ meets different live streaming themes. Lights on the video mixer is vibrant but not harsh on your eyes. Flowing or frozen RGB color rotation in a decent pace presents a greatly strong impression as a "light show" to your audience. Even a streaming equipment accessory will not be dull looking when video production.
For a meditation channel, make the audio and the experience meaningfully your own. If several streams use the same image, waveform, and near-identical audio, the visual animation does not necessarily make their substance materially different. Consider whether each stream offers distinct original audio, a genuinely different meditation or session, or other clear creative or educational value. These are practical ways to address the policy’s emphasis on substance; they are not a guarantee of approval.
Copyright permission and monetization eligibility are separate questions. YouTube says reused-content review is separate from copyright enforcement, so having permission to use material does not by itself establish monetization eligibility.

Clear rights to both the audio and image
You are responsible for having the rights needed to use live content on YouTube, including music rights. Use audio and imagery you created yourself, or obtain licences that cover your intended use, including livestreaming. Keep licence records and any relevant permissions so you can show what rights you have.

Permission alone may not prevent an interruption during a live broadcast. YouTube scans livestreams for matches to third-party content. If a match is detected, a placeholder may replace the stream; if the content remains, YouTube may temporarily interrupt or terminate the livestream. A copyright or Community Guidelines strike can also terminate a stream.

If you have a licence for third-party material, YouTube advises asking the rights owner to add your channel to their Content ID allowlist. Without allowlisting, a licensed livestream may still be interrupted by Content ID. If you archive the livestream, Content ID claims on that archived video are made after the live broadcast ends.
A practical pre-stream checklist
- Audio: Confirm that you created it or have rights that cover livestream use. Check the scope and conditions of any licence.
- Image and animation: Confirm that you have rights to the still image and any visual elements used in the waveform. A static background does not remove the need for image rights.
- Licensed third-party content: Where applicable, ask the rights owner to allowlist your channel for Content ID before streaming, and retain the licence documentation.
- Channel substance: Review the channel as a whole. Make sure the streams are not merely mass-produced variations of one template and that their substance offers meaningful original value.
- Archive decision: Decide whether to keep a recording of the livestream. An archived stream may receive a Content ID claim after it ends.
- Expect enforcement risk: Even with a licence, a live match may interrupt the broadcast if the channel has not been allowlisted.
Keeping the livestream running is a separate issue
A still image with animated audio waves addresses what viewers see; it does not change YouTube’s rules about rights or monetization. If your separate goal is to keep an uploaded meditation recording playing continuously on YouTube, StreamNeo is a cloud service that loops uploaded videos and playlists, so your computer does not have to stay on. It does not determine whether your content is copyright-cleared or eligible for monetization. Learn more at StreamNeo.
